r Miss Lizbeth

Released on Monday 26/11/12

Persuading the crew's female pirates to take part in the Miss Clint City Beauty Contest was no mean feat: a good serving of cheeky, impish sailors was required to push the other competitors backstage and oust them from the contest. Miss Lizbeth had some amazing rounds, and in each appeared yet more spectacular and delightful than in the last. Even without her bikini, she bedazzled and charmed the audience with her captivating expression, her enigmatic smile and her fantasy-fuelling mask.

Anyone else think it's too cute how humble and polite she's being in her first three forms? :kawaii:

Oh. Oh no. What have you done Devs? What have you done?

I first wanna say that Drake Tsui (aka Quirkilicious) has done an exceptional job depicting the characters as usual. And I hereby proclaim that Drake is the king of the Sultry Eyes, based on Miss Lizbeth's 5 Star picture and all of the portraits of Diana. Hoping for more Sultry (instead of Sexy) from ya in the future, Drake! Though I'm disappointed that Diana didn't win, I take comfort in the fact that only a Quirkiliocious character can beat out a Quirkilicious character...

(The Pussycats are gonna need a lot of Quirky lovin' if they're ever gonna get a Miss Clintz)

I can take no comfort in Miss Lizbeth's final stats, however.
Power: 7
Damage: 9
(Assuming her Ability kicks in.)

Ladies and gentlemen, I remember saying that Lizbeth was like a Piranah's version of Kolos. Well, then, Miss Lizbeth IS a Piranah's version of Kolos. Same Power, same Stop Opposite Bonus, and the only difference is a 1 point reduction in potential damage, leaving her cap at 11 damage instead of 12.

Oh, but you can get around that using Timber in your deck.

But if you are a sadist, and I know that anyone who puts out a Kolos Rush is one, you can remove Timber from your plans and put some Defeat: -1 Life Min 0 cards in your deck. Knock your opponent to 1 life using Miss Lizbeth and then just laugh like a tool while your opponent decides whether to win the round, and lose their last life point, or intentionally lose the round and lose their last life point.

That's right. Those Defeat: -1 Life Min 0 cards that no one ever thought to use? They are now the more hurtful and insulting cards you could ever possibly used. They are now the epitome of jerkiness, totally eclipsing Hax. The thought is so painful that I feel like cinematically screaming the word "NOOOO!" Oh, hey, wait a sec:

That's the stuff. Now that I've gotten everything I find wrong, evil, and tortuously sadistic about this card off my chest, I need to praise Drake Tsui once again for his art. Not cause he made a beautiful woman, but because of the phenomenal way he dressed her. Drake has a history of putting his cards in appropriate attire, like Stella who travels through the timeline of her inspiration's stage appearances throughout her career. Then there is Lady, who's outlandish costumes accurately reflect those that the Gaga one herself has donned. Then there is Diana who's sensible, fashionable, and femininely alluring wardrobe reflected her practical requirements while capturing the hearts of her audience, while _fully clothed._

Well, Miss Lizbeth is continuing that dedication to getting the attire to the perfect blend of alluring and accurate as she is obviously outfitted in a ballgown reminiscent of those worn by the noble ladies of the colonies during the high days of piracy in the Caribbean, which just makes me want to start a nice long slow clap for the artist.

(If you find this review helpful and a worthwhile read, please rate it green so others can read it too.)

(P.S. I hereby claim all credit for anyone scoring a victory using the Miss Lizbeth + Timber / Defeat: -1 Life Min 0 tactic from here on out. Think up some original tactics, ya' Kolos Rushers!)

(P.P.S. And stop resigning or timing out the games on purpose when your One Hit KOs don't work! It's super annoying.)
