Vryer's Experiment Log

Experiment #559

Ksendra

*sighs* I write this review with a heavy heart, since I'm afraid that my dear, sweet assistant known as Dolly is a bit peeved with me at the moment. I think she is upset that I've been spending more time with my experiments than her in general. I don't really understand; I thought she loved helping me with my experiments! That's the whole point of me hiring her in the first place. Or maybe it's the fact that the experiment I recently made is far more beautiful than she could ever hope to be. Or maybe it's something else. I don't know. Women are fickle creatures, and after all this time, we, as men, still have yet to find out what truly makes them tink. *sighs* Maybe someday...

Anyway, back to the topic at hand. It's been almost two years since the Vortex have arrived in Clint City, and our struggle has been on and off with them, meaning we win some, we lose some. But what the Vortex don't know, is that with every defeat, we only grow that much stronger. See, the thing about the GHEIST is that we follow the philosophy of, 'Live to fight another day.' We learn from our mistakes and correct them. We've been observing how the Vortex fight, how they use their time vortexes to fight. As I thought on this, I recently that they basically fight by using the power of time and space itself. It intrigued me.

As I was walking around the city one day, at night, may I add, I saw a most familiar site: that freaky spider woman known as Sheitane giving another one of her so-called predictions to a passer-by on the streets. She always did freak me out, not because she sold her soul to a spider, but because all of her predictions seem to come true one or another. I never had much faith in those kind of people. I believe things happen cause they can happen, not cause they have too. However, this did get some gears turning in my head.

Within the next week, we continued fighting battle after battle with the Vortex, the majority of which we won. I wasn't feeling very celebratory, however. If I knew anything about that masked freak who was the Leader of the Vortex, I knew that he wasn't fighting as he normally did. The victories were too easy and it almost seemed as if they weren't even showing any effort. I realized that something was amiss and ordered one of my spies to check it out. After days of waiting, the spy reported that the Vortex were currently in a heated struggle with the Nightmare over something called Book of Souls. When my spy said that, I nearly fell out of my seat in shock. The Book of Souls, which was supposed to be located in a place called the Cave of Secrets?

I immediately began doing research on this fabled tome, while I had my spy continue to observe both clans. The fabled Book of Souls, which was supposed to have the complete life of a person laid out, as well as their supposed destiny. If GHEIST were able to get a hold of this tome, just imagine what we could do. The possibilities are endless! But don't misunderstand me. I stand firm in what I said earlier, about not believing in the whole destiny crap. But I know an opportunity when I see one. I would have liked nothing more than to steal that tome from under the noses of those Freaks, but right now there were more pressing matters at hand. Maybe someday.

Anyway, this new discovery gave me a whole new insight, which means it gave me a whole new idea for an experiment for the GHEIST to create. It's obvious that battles today were being fought in a whole different field, which involved one thing: time. Time, itself, is a touchy subject for some. It's hard for time to have a clear definition, due to how large the subject is. Therefore, I knew that it was time for the GHEIST to join the Vortex on equal ground. I decided to create something that could go to the fabric of time and space itself to give us what we need. I observed one of the Arkn walking around, and got an idea forming in my head. I immediately got to work.

After several months of tinkering and experimenting, my experiment was finally unveiled. Ksendra, whom I named after the woman in . Anyway, Ksendra's power lies not in her beauty or intellect, but in the spiders that accompany her. Using the powers that I've endowed her with, her spiders are able to go above and beyond the veils of reality and observe all of the events that take place. They then send those to Ksendra, who then points them out to us. Some of her visions aren't always correct, but they're accurate for the most part, which is good enough for me. For the most, Ksendra is a quiet woman who adores her spiders, but not to the point of obsessing over them. We already have enough psychos here in GHEIST, thanks. If you need psychos, however, just refer over to Dr Saw or Astrid. I'm sure they could indulge you.

*sighs* Finally finished. I hope you all enjoyed that. Now if you don't mind, I have to go apologize, profusely, to Dolly. *sighs* Women...

1,141 clintz... Really?... Really?... Really? Why so low!? She's a good damage reducer that can be used in ELO! smiley

Sigmund Cr has finally lost his space in any GHEIST deck... smiley

A must have in any GHEIST deck (if it's not a ELO deck of course).

Price : Between 2800 & 3000.
What more do u want ?

Check out Peeler of Junkz he is the same 7/7 same ability but ranges between 15000 to 17000 clintz.
I guess that tells how cheap Ksendra is with the same stats as of Peeler.

Ksendra summary:
7/7
-4 opp. dmg min 3
SOA

Pros:
>7 power is pretty good for GHEIST
>7 Damage is awesome
>-4 opp dmg allows her to be played defensively as well
> Can't go wrong with SOA

Cons:
>No attack manipulators whatsoever, meaning it can be tough to actually win with this card and get that 7 dmg out all the time
(SOA helps a bit though)
> 5* might be hard to fit into an ELO deck because honestly GHEIST doesn't have excellent 2* fillers
>Someone with SOA and attack manipulation can destroy this card

Overall: I personally find Ksendra an extremely great card and she's really tricky to play against. Put 2-4 pills on her and she's an extremely good bluff. If your opponent thinks you're bluffing and puts 1 or 2 pillz, you get a whopping 7 damage on them. If he overpills and wins, you still have that -4 dmg to save you. She might not be as good as Rolph when it comes to attack manipulation or Wardom and Lin Xia when it comes to damage, but she's got the best of both worlds. She's essentially the Trinmktt or Graksmxtt of GHEIST and can be really threatening, irritating and downright scary to play against because of her bluff potential. I give her a 9/10 overall

I have the feeling Ksendra may have been somewhat based from Lady Cassandra from the revived Doctor Who. Cassandra had little robot spiders that could break into even the most complex security systems and these have probably been alluded to through the nano-spiders here. As for the future part...Cassandra's debut ep did take place at the supposed end of the world in the year 5 billion or something like that.

Ksendra
7/7
-4 opp. damage min. 3
SOA

Pros:
-Solid power of 7 lets her contend with the current meta
-A whopping 7 damage will certainly leave a Mark on your opponent
-A huge damage reduction of 4 let's her play defensively as well
-An excellent bluff. Nothing is fun about 7 damage if you lose and dealing 4 less damage if you lose
-Her SOA helps her against opposing DRs, power reduction, etc.

Cons:
-5* is tough to fit into a deck especially with other 5* candidates
-that being said there is competition with Wardom and XU52, both of which are arguably more dangerous

Overall: 8.5/10
Nice new card that allows for another option of DR besides Bristone in a GHEIST deck. Certainly packs a whollop and if you can find space for it in your deck, give it a go.
