r T Gaank

Released on Friday 14/12/12

Sent by Dregn to destroy Clint City, T Gaank “the crusher” pulled off one of the most spectacular entries into town. With a single head-butt, he destroyed the whole of the Sentinel HQ, and that was only because his head was itchy and he couldn’t take off his helmet to scratch it. So just imagine what he’d have done if he'd really set out to destroy the building...

T Gaank - 8/5 with Protection: Power and Damage (ability) and Defeat: recover 2 pillz out of 3 (bonus)

+ Lets start off with that 8 power, cant ask for a better base!
+ 5 damage? Okay! Can 2 hit with Shaakarti, Naele, furious Deea/Dagg...
+ Remember how Vortex was really weak to All Stars bonus? Well this guy fixes it, along with being able to counter Mona, Tula, and a whole slew of other cards that reduce power.
+ Not only that, but he makes for one mean bluff. Protected 8/5 is certainly threatening, plus you get a free pill from the bonus.
+ I'm the Juggernaut, bitch!

- Ability is useless against anything that doesn't reduce his power. Also, SOA power reducers hurt a little too (Toro, Rolph, etc.)
- Vortex bonus and a passive ability means he has nothing going for him in terms of winning. So if he has to pull out a win against, say, Oraya, he'll have some difficulty.
- Wee bit of competition. X-0DUS and Dagg are two very good cards, its between those three to see which two go in your deck.

Overall: 9.5/10 Solid stats, protection of his solid stats, getting pillz back if you lose... This is good card. He can form some really nasty half-decks with the clans low-star cards. And even though I said his bonus isn't the best, he can function really well without it, and he helps the clans weakness against - power cards. All in all a really solid option for Vortex (Even though they already had quite a few). And a Juggernaut reference to boot!

So since Dregn has chuck norris and Bruce lee rolled up into a nice little tight, ugly ball here, why does he need a whole army if this guy can knock down a building by headbutting it?

PS- the next card should be called T Mobile

I love this card ! And I was thinking of a new card in ur. I don't know in which clan to be but why not a card with Protection:Attack? It will be really useful against Montana , Sakrohm and Uppers . Rate green so other people can see :)

I really love T Gaank. He's a great opener in ELO, and he also does his duty well against the reducers. While X-Odus is solid competition, I often choose T Gaank just because he is SO SOLID. Literally the definition of solidness.
+Solidity. He will almost always be an 8 5, except against SoA.
+8 power. Higher than most of his clan mates.
+5 damage. Really necessary to be a 4*.
+His bonus... well of course, but it means you can put him out there with 4-5 pills, and see 5 damage if you win or some pillz coming back if you lose
-Competition. Dagg is always a good choice, and X-Odus can provide needed SoA. I prefer him over Dagg in ELO because he deals with DRs and SoAs better. However, I think it's a tossup between him and X-Odus, and really depends on the week.

Rating: 9/10
