c Dao Wang

Released on Friday 14/06/13

After the fight against Mechakolos, several magic weapons from the Monastery ended up in a very sorry state. In response to this, Kinjo called upon the heir to the Wang family who can sharpen just about anything! However, as the Monastery’s coffers were empty, Lost Hog had no choice but to offer Dao Wang a sacred sword, selling him a story about an extraordinary destiny to entice him into becoming a clan member for free.

Dao Wang-8/1 with-2 opp life, min 1 (ability) and damage +2(bonus)

-Extremely solid power of 8, the only 2* in Fang Pi Clang!
-Dao Wang removes 2 lives with a low min of 1!
-In addition Dao Wang is quite solid. SOA 8/3. SOB 8/1 life manipulator.
-Not conditional. Dao Wang is one of the few useable 2* cards that can make 5+ life gaps with conditions although his ability isn't min 0 so he can't KO.

-All stops. Even though he can beat every all stop in the game, 1 damage isn't going to do much.

Overall:8.5/10. Dao Wang is a solid card and has great potential. Chan is an amazing wall but relies on his bonus to do damage so I actually prefer Dao Wang to Chan in half decks. Kusuri could be your pseudo damage reducer and If you own Marlysa Cr, her SOB could let you use her Dao Wang. His common status could also be a cheaper alternative to the previously mentioned cards. This new artist is also pretty good!

@ cakeman icing
stops are no negative point on this card. there are always at least 3 damage. except soa+sob cards. (but who will use them for dao. he is at least a 9/10. i would say he´s 9,5/10.

He's an amazing card & I managed to buy him for 199 clintz, which i'm proud of. Sure, he's in a clan that's vulnerable to reduction, but potential 8/5 & 2* is great. Also his power means he reaches the Montana's mininum attack reduction of 8. DR's without SoA may have to be given a pill or two to stop his ability, and vice versa; SoA without DR have to contend with a 8/3 assuming bonus.

Pretty solid 2* card especially for his price. He is an 8/5 with both ability and bonus activated, which is really powerful for a 2*. SOA and SOB obviously hurt him a bit, but what card isn't hurt by that. Overall I like Dao Wang and I could see him being used in ELO.

so Dao Wang, FPC blacksmith

+8 power is of course amazing, especially being just 2 star. help fit higher star at ELO while still retaining some power
+his damage is just unique. his ability is just like his bonus, only the ability is life removing with min 1. so combined, he's 8/3 with 2 life remove min 1 and that's nasty, easier to said he's 8/5 totally
+thanks to that, DR can't truly reduce him. Pussycats only kills that damage but not life removing unless there's SOA
+ SOA or SOB? still 8/3 and that's still awesome
+common? means he's cheap and easily affordable

-life removing min 1? means he can't KO. also because of FPC tends to become 2HKO mostly, you might best play him at round 1 or 2 but not later on
-all-stop kills him, leaving with only 1 damage. Jayzel, yayoi or Yookie turned his damage to 1 too
-competition. sure he has solid 8 power but Chan potentially can reach 10. Kusuri has pseudo DR. even he compete with Sakazuki as natural damaging FPC. while Dao Wang stronger in power, Sakazuki has more damage and can KO unlike Dao Wang who relies on 3 damage left to KO

overall 8/10. Dao Wang is truly acceptable thanks to that solid 8 power and potential early 5 damage. after all he's solid against all stop. Chan only has 7 power against SOA and he's the strongest possible FPC. but why just 8? again he's only best at initiating KO not to finish it thanks to that min 1 life removal. also like Chan, face all-stop leaves him with only 1 damage. what's more Sakazuki is even better finisher and also good initiator. surely other 2* competes him too but he's cheap, solid and affordable so why not using him?
