In a distant future, a prophet revealed to the menacing Dregn that an alliance of the descendants of the Clint City Clans would bring about the downfall of his evil empire and an end to his reign of terror. To put a stop to this defeat, Dregn has sent his best fighters to eradicate the problem at its source, that is 1000 years earlier, at a time when the clans are at their most divided.

Zoid? Why not Berg?

Friday 18/10/2013, 12:44

Now I'm expecting comments about UR joining the Illuminati, or the Freemasons using UR as a mean of recruiting followers.

Or maybe the impending arrival of a magic lizard from Jupiter, I dunno.

An okay release for Vortex.

1. The first Common 5star for Vortex, yay! Finally we don't need to pay sooo much for a 5 star card in form a Vortex deck.
2. Full pill recovery (upgraded version of Marty). Truly shows the beauty and power of the Vortex clan.
3. Same as Marty, you don't need to check the Vortex page to get the name spelled right. Z-O-I-D. haha
4. Nice damage. 8 damage is awesome and can have 1 KO with many 4-damage cards in the clan.
5. Extraordinary artwork. Not many clans could take characters with such a look...

1. Lower power. Expected. Imagine if it is 7/8 with full pill recovery, it must be banned right away.
2. Keen competition. Dregn, Naele, Shaakarti, Oflgn all shine proudly as a 5 star Vortex. Zoid will find himself hard to fit in.

Zoid, with nice damage and awesome ability, is still very limited in the real game due to its very low power (without any attack or power manipulation.) One of the common way to play with a Vortex clan is to sneak in 4 -5 damage then throw all the pills for a 5-star hoping for 2 KO. Even if it fails, thanks to the clan bonus, you still get a lot of pills back for the next attack. However, even with you pill heavily to Zoid, e.g. 8 pills, he only got 48 attack, which makes it hard to actually win the round. so his role mainly lies in bluffing or trying to sneak in heavy damage with a few pills at early rounds. Still Zoid is definitely playable. Considering him being a Common, it is a must-have for beginners who wish to build a Vortex clan.

But hey, could we have more good common 3 or 4 star Vortex cards, UR?

Does Zoid dream of electric sheep

I can't believe, even though it is a common card, that this is below 2000 clintz?
People don't see synergy, but put it this way.
The first round is a round of bluffing, correct? Many people throw in 1 to 3 pillz. Easy to beat.
However, if you have a revenge character, they will be obliged to lose to you, making it easier to perform the next, sure win move.
If you win, even with a measly 4 damage character, (Marty perhaps smiley kidding smiley ), you can easily 2HKO with Zoid.
If you fully pill on Zoid in round 2, your enemy has to be inclined to have a higher attack.
Thus, more pillz.
Even if they have 8 power, and sure, 6 power isn't hard to beat, but say, 72 attack, for example.
A solid 8 would need to pill at least 9! But this is the best bit..
If they win, you keep those pillz!
A whopping 12 pillz!
And unless in the 2nd round they used Kolos, or General Cr for example,
You, if defeated anyway, would easily ko with your next cards.
Please rate green so people can understand why Zoid is so damn good, and earns a 9.5/10. The only weakness is 1HKOs, which are rare.

solid finisher in all extended formats.

common hence cheap, and mindblowing art: this will become easily a favourite of many Vortex players, even if it has no place in elo or tq.

2nd best card of the NB lot this time around. 8/10 for me. smiley

I'm very surprised that this card is still at 1k, I mean sure it's common but for someone who can't afford Dregn or shaakarti (Basically anyone under who doesn't have 30k-50k to spend), this card is a god.

Look at it this way, it costs barely anything, and when faced against it, your options are: Take 8 damage or overpill and your opponent gets all their pills back. So basically, you're screwed.

Or instead, use a defeat card first round this finish with a furious Zoid (Again, if you lose with him, your opposed is faced with scenario 1 and you are probably going to win.)

Rate Green if you agree!

If it took them 10000 years to build 15 XU's (52-66), when was XU01 built?

Friday 01/01, 10:40

So if you are using her and Vortex, and you give zoos 5 pills+ free pill
That's 6 pills
And if you lose she gives you 1/3*6=2, his ability gives you 1/3*6=2 and his bonus gives you. 2/3*6=4
Giving you a total of 8 pills in return for him losing? She is going to take bluffing to a totally new level.
I mean pull against Vortex and get a bad pill disadvantage. Or don't pill and lose half your lives for no reason.. Hmm

still a good card and great artwork!

Beautifully underrated card!
The 6 power, which is not particularly low is compensated with the return of his pillz.
After you have four damage just all-in on him because either you win or you get your pillz back and your oponent has a extremely lowered pill count because he needed to go "all-in" to defend from the 8 damage and then you can control the rest of the game.
