c Lorea

Released on Friday 21/02/14

As far as Lorea’s concerned, human beings should always look their best, irrespective of their state of health or whether they’re dead or alive. As a result, she wages an on-going war against the haggard-looking faces that populate the streets of Clint City. So if you’re one of those people who go round the place looking like death warmed up, then be warned! On any street corner, you might well find yourself assaulted by a hair-dryer and a pot of foundation.

First development of the 2 of this character’s different developments:

  • PussycatsLoreapicture
    5Ability unlocked at
    1-2 Opp Damage, Min 1
  • PussycatsLoreapicture
    7Courage: +1 Life Per Dmg
    2-2 Opp Damage, Min 1

Ability of Lorea:

Courage: +1 Life Per Dmg

When Lorea is played first in the round, for each Damage inflicted by Lorea to the opponent at the end of a round, the player controlling Lorea wins 1 Life points at the end of the round.

-2 Opp Damage, Min 1

If Pussycats loses their fight, the Damage inflicted on Pussycats’s owner will be reduced by 2 points or up to a minimum of 1. If the winning character’s Damage points are lower than or equal to 1, then the Ability has no effect.

8 damage gap with fury in a clan reducing damage? Looks like Muse and Cherry found a new bff.

Hmmm... interesting new card. I'm gonna do a quick review of this one:
7/2 2 stars, courage: +1 life per damage
* AMAZING potential life gap of 8, which also means she has some nice bluff potential; also the Pussycats bonus can be very helpful if you are bluffing, cushioning your opponent's blow while you come ahead in pillz, allowing you to counter-strike with some hard hitters like Louise, Charlie, Ditha, and Diana.
* although her ability is conditional, life gapping is a force to reckoned with in the Pussycats, since you may never Bridge that gap thanks in part due to amazing damage reducers like Ella, Charlie, Clover (and possibly Clover Noel in Clover's elo-banned weeks) and the Pussycats inherent bonus of -2 opp damage, min 1
* Obvious pro but she is only 2 stars, allowing you to budget in some very powerful cards like Louise, Charlie, Ditha, and Diana.

*although 7 power is quite decent for a two star, the Pussycats are inherently very weak to power and attack manipulation clans like the Bangers, Ulu Watu, All-Stars, Rescue, Sentinel, Junkz; the list goes on and on and that doesn't even count cards with powerful attack or power manipulation abilities. This also does mean that if you are going to bluff, your opponent could get in some free damage so you might be forced to half bluff with ~2-3 pills just in case based on your situation. Bottom line: while 8 power could be a little overpowered for such a card, 7 power is still very weak in the Pussycats clan, since she has no offensive abilities to help her get that amazing life gap.
* since her ability is courage and damage based, she is very vulnerable to damage reducers and soa (although, this unlikely since your opponent may save that handy-dandy ability for a more menacing threat, allowing you to sneak through with a 4-8 life gap that your opponent may never Bridge). Also, there is also the chance your opponent may push a card with some Hefty damage through, leaving you at the disadvantage.

* competition. Although Lorea's life gapping skills are unmatched in pussycat 2 stars, her 7 power leaves her vulnerable since she is a pussycat.
- Nabrissa can reach the towering stats of 9/4, like a mini-Louise, with a ability condition much more befitting the Pussycats (revenge)
- Lucy has that nice SOB that can get rid of that pesky attack or power manipulation
- Ella has some amazing DR capabilities and can sneak through against a card your opponent pilled only a few pills with (after all, who wants to spend pills on a card that gets 4 damage taken off) with a Hefty 4 damage
- Wanda and Brittany are also some competition Lorea faces, although they aren't as much of a contender as the afore-mentioned cards

Overall: 7/10
I'm actually kind of on the fence about Lorea: she has a nice ability and unparalleled life gapping abilities among the pussycat 2 stars, along with some decent stats, but her courage condition leaves her a little vulnerable. Also, 7 power can be very weak with the Pussycats and your opponent may be able to push through some damage with just a few pills. Overall, she is a very nice card for beginners and I expect her price to drop down to the 500 range. Yes, she's not necessarily a staple but her life gapping skills (god, you must be sick of reading that by know, I must have typed that ~10 times already) is a nice introduction to the type of strategic plays that the pussycat clan requires and cards like Lucy or Nabrissa can be very much out of your price range when you are starting out.

Lucy, Nabrissa and now this one, they may have fancy abilities, they may be better, but they will never pair Wanda's pair of boobs.
