c Peter

Released on Friday 18/04/14

Peter was just one of the many orphans who spent their days hanging around the port of Poldachie-Golgovine. So when he tried to join the Piranas, Bloodh laughed in his face saying he'd only take him on if he proved himself to be a real pirate. After experimenting with a whole heap of different outfits, Peter finally realized that what constituted a real pirate was the treasure he’d amassed. So all he need do to nab himself a prize place in the ship's crew, was to raid all the yachts in the vicinity.

I couldn't disagree more with Pilluminati, Peter is way more valuable than Goldie. I play almost exclusively Piranas and I would use Peter in my deck any day of the week. First of all, Goldie is worse in literally any situation other than when your life is low, which shouldn't be a problem using Piranas since you can pill pill pill and still have more pills in the 4th round. His 5 damage is attractive for a clan that has low damage cards, and perhaps low powered cards with the exception of Lizbeth and Miss Lizbeth. Another good thing about Peter and I think it helps the clan overall, is a lot of +attack cards, this takes advantage of the already amazing ability of Piranas to conserve pills. Peter isn't going to win every round obviously, but thats not what makes Peter weak. Peter allows a player to lose that one round and keep or gain that pill advantage so important to low power Pirana decks, thats why Rekved and Taljion are great for the clan as well. Most likely you won't win every round anyways, so planning for a loss with Piranas is usually the smart thing to do and help maintain that constant pill advantage.

There is a LOT of competition, Taljion, Smokey Cr, Andsom, and also Ulrich outside of ELO make it some stiff competition. I personally don't like -pill cards, its either +pill or no manipulation for me. Ulrich is a staple for me, works wonders for DR and sometimes easy to sneak in 5 damage when your opponent isn't expecting it. Smokey Cr for obvious reasons, and Taljion because he helps maintain that pill advantage I keep talking about. But I think there is room for Peter depending on the mood I'm in, and hes great for beginners looking to start a Piranas deck. Nothing wrong with this card people, honestly what were you expecting?

ALSO keep in mind my opinions are based solely on T1 play, why is it that every single review has to mention ELO now?

I think some people have the same idea but i think he's suppose to be an ironic reference to Peter Pan because his final image makes him look like a child captain hook.

Peter...what an underrated little gem of a card!!

Wow was I in for a surprise when I actually used this card in play, before this I was on the bandwagon of 'shit card, terrible addition for Piranas'.

Firstly, no Peter isn't some insane god card that will be regularly banned or a go to staple for every single deck, but you know what he is a great card (yes great!) that is very useful for the Piranas!!

What I like most about Peter is his synergy in a mono environment. A combo of Peter, Raeth, Rekved and Taljion (all regularly used cards) is nasty to face with a huge advantage given against any attack manip clan. Whilst this card doesn't do the job better than a card like Taljion he just assists in giving the big middle finger to clans like Rescue and Montana

His base power actually isn't as big a problem as one might think! Coupled with SOB he will go pill to pill against most cards for a while, and outpill in the lower pill regions, making him an excellent opening card and low star bluff caller. Whilst his ability gets weaker throughout the fight, it's in the early rounds that you will actually want to use this card anyway since he can make those uneasy first rounds simple...throw a couple of pill on him and watch the opponent either drastically underestimate him or stupidly overpill

I like Peter! He isn't a god but if you want to add a little more spice to Piranas on those Rescue heavy weeks throw him in your mono and watch the magic work :)

if only he was a 7, 3 or a 6, 5...

After smokey was banned from ELO the best 3* we Piranas users can use are talijon, Andsom and Ector. And i don't think Peter is going to be more useful than any of those 3. Ector deals more damage and has more stability. Talijon gets +12 if you play him in mono, and you can get the +12 atk in all 4 rounds. Andsom has the awesome pill control sinergy with the clan. I just don't think this card can cut it, 5 power is way too low, but i guess his price will drop to arround 300 which will make him great for starters players and its great that they get cards too.

A bad card in a clan that's very well known pill regaining.

Good luck trying to justify finding any viable space for him in your deck though, the Piranas have more than enough 3 stars to keep him out, even if the main attraction is his 5 damage.

He is ideal for an opener as a bluff, having SOB will do that for you.Pilling him is somewhat dangerous,as you take away from his ability, but you allow him to potentially have a shit at winning a round.

That said, his power is no help in strengthening his ability, and he's absolutely exposed at his worst when you dont have any pills to use,so as you can imagine,he's not going to be closing many matches for you.

So where does that leave him? Well,he's a good starter card(and when i say starter card,i mean that this card should be in the beginning player's deck, not in an actual budget pirana deck),but it's pretty telling when a card like Goldie, one of the oldest and first Piranas in the game and never a true staple could be more of an attractive option than Peter, and Peter should have no excuses for being below that level of card in this day and age.

Review :
3 Stars / Piranha / 5Power / 5Damage
Hi everyone!
If you're looking for a non ELO addition to your deck, look further than this card, with fierce competition sending this card packing, because, well, Smokey Cr and Taljion sends him packing in search of a deck to call home; it's no real competition of Smokey / Tyd / Ulrich vs Peter.

BUT, have hope, for this card finds a niche home in ELO!

In Mono, fierce competition from Taljion will send him packing while Taljion has stable stats and an even more stable attack Manip. While Peter sports +1 Damage, Taljion will frequently LAND that damage. Outside of Mono though, I would say they are tied, but Peter is viable in Non Mono.
+1 Others
Ector is another great opponent to show why Mono sends him packing; with not so great damage any more once he has to deal with the fact that Ector has stable stats to boost his life manip. So Peter can push through his damage with his Attack Manip you say?
+1 To Both
Tyd is Great, very great! And when you try to make him compete with Tyd for a spot in the deck, the raw stats of Tyd ensure that poor lil' Peter goes bye.
+1 Others
Wheeler vs Peter, the Pill Power ! Well, seems like Wheeler might be more stable yes? Nope, no chance for the cranky old guy, he just can't compete with other power manips while Peter's low power makes him have a slightly better chance; especially with Attack Manip. Think of Wheeler vs Platinum/Oshitsune for example. Peter's Power Manip allows him to hold out for a few pillings more than Wheeler ever can, and Wheeler gets steamrolled.
+1 Peter
Goldie vs Peter might seem like Goldie has a better, more stable ability; but why would Peter be brawling in Round 3 or 4 ? In most cases he would be used R1 or R2 , and with the pill manip abound in this clan, he's bound to be tied or have more than her. His one extra damage doesn't hurt either.
+1 Peter
Deadeye has Power Manip, and it's strong at that. But he fails to reduce lower than him, or prove to be more dangerous. This is basically Wheeler again, and while Deadeye's damage is tempting, Peter's Round winning is more so.
+1 Peter
Morgane has pill Manip, 5 Damage, 6 Power and can be used to swing for game and get it all back! However, her lack of manip to push for actual game means she will usually just be fulfilling her Defeat condition. It would take a good number of pills; past 5 to beat Peter with a 6 Power card with no attack manip.
+1 Peter
Andsom the Pill Manip! Ah, you can afford to overpill here surely! But, the 6 Power ensures Peter eats him alive up to at least 5 Pills. If you see a 6 Pill Andsom beating a 6 Pill Peter then it must be late game, because Peter will almost always win, especially in early rounds. But you have to PILL Peter , and that takes away from his ability!!! Nope, his ability counts pill total before battle because any pills on Peter aren't counted as used yet. If you have at least 7 Pills left; he wins.
+1 Peter
Rhed Cr ? Ahhh! No for the same reason as Andsom, because Peter will usually push over Rhed Cr and other 6 Power cards. Also, Andsom can overpill in most cases to get at their pills at least; Rhed Cr is just a push for extra life and a pill dumpster.
+1 Peter
Vs Aktara ? Aktara can bluff and Surprise KO, but I'll almost never see him win. . . Well, at least Aktara has a decent payout mission ^^
+1 Peter
Greesh has that poison! And the curse of 6 Power, but his poison has utility, so I'll call this one a tie.
+ 1 To Both
Cyan has an ability that may or may not help / hurt you. But, stable power makes her still useable, and when I compare them, I like Peter's Manip and raw Damage, but they both ultimately can job for the win.
+1 To Both

Conclusion? By no means is this card Unfriendly in ELO!
But in Mono, his spot will be taken. :(
However, in Half Decks, he is a great addition, though sure to be underestimated.
He can win against 6 and 7 Powered cards thanks to SOB and Attack Manip, so be sure to not underestimate him!
6.5 in Mono
7.5 Outside of Mono
5 outside of ELO

SOA rarely works on a SOB Bonus, problem being that this cards meant to be more of a duo card as Taljion. However, being in a duo would cause him to be prone to SOA bonuses which is considerably lethal. Still would use over some cards because +12 attack and 5 damage means you can burn some opponent pills if you like.

This card will likely see play in elo duo decks. Not the greatest, but not the worse atm. Probably somewhere in-between with his own unique niche.

Peter: 5/5; +1 attack per pill left; Stop opp. Bonus

- decent 5 damage meaning it has the potential to 2HKO
- 3 stars mean less room is taken up in the deck
- It also means a higher chance of winning if facing a higher star card with same attack
- ability boosts attack - not a lot of pillz needed to be used

- 5 power is not very popular and in my case not useful
- His power doesn't help his ability that much since it is too low
- Not very good if used in late round since having limited pills is a factor (unless you kept on bluffing)

Overall: 6/10
He would better if his ability was +2 attack per pill but for now Peter has a lot of competition with other 3 stars such as Ulrich, Andsom, Deadeye, and Cyan making him obviously replacable due to an ability supported by weak stats. He would make himself a decent beginner card but for experienced players, he's one of those cards that you would consider a waste of space in your deck
