It was during recent work on the new Clint City subway line that the underground shelter, housing Riotspolis, was drilled apart. This Utopian city, dreamt up by wise men at the turn of the century, could now wave goodbye to its tranquility and isolation. Unsurprisingly upset by this turn of events, the Riotsville Council, led by the Patriarch Pericles, decided that the time had come for them to at last emerge from their isolation and impose their “wise rulings” on this barbaric bunch of hoodlums inhabiting the surface.

I don't usually make comments, but here it is.

To those of you complaining about 9 power, it's irrelevant. Card games should always bring in dynamic and fresh, new, engaginc content. Urban Rivals is no different. When something new such as this comes out, you play to build around it, and play counterstrategies against it. Complaining before you even play with the card showcases your inability to adapt to new environments.

Just as cards like Copper and Oscar have the potential to be 9 power and have counter cards you can play against them, Dr Van Wesel also has countercards. His low damage makes him a low threat, despite being a good disrupt card. Lehane is banned alot in comparison but I don't know why since the 2 damage makes it really weak. Yes, the 9 power is menacing, but there are power-reducers, attack reducers. A smart player would take this into consideration. Every card has its ups and downs. This card is good, but not good enough to warrant hate speeches everywhere. I for one applaud the card-creation team's idea and ability to introduce new concepts into the game.

We finally know why they're called the Riots. These guys are such rebels, already causing so much trouble. smiley

And so begins a new age of power creep

People complaining about a 9 powered card and everyone is acting like UR opened pandora's box smiley

You'll complain about this card now,but when one of your old favorite staples that were banned in elo are unbanned,it's because of this card.

When the Bangers/Montana/Rescue get that 8 powered card they were never getting ,you can thank this card.

This card is going to rejuvenate and kick-start a golden age in UR not seen in years, which you're getting it practically free by the way,and all you can do is complain about it's base power?

Get over it. 9 powered cards are here to stay, and more will come soon, and it's about damn time too.

One day, when UR releases 15 power cards and we're all playing with a calculator at hand, we can all look back at this day and blame this card smiley

9 is the new 8.
The future is now.

Everyone is up in arms over 9 base power... get over it. Montana reduces attack by -12 off the top, Vortex gives you pillz back to generate more attack in future rounds, and Skeelz can't have their abilities blocked. You're worried about a card or two having *gasp* 9 power? I don't think it's a big deal, in the grand scheme.

He is Dr. Thunderland Jr. from the manga series Tegami Bachi! smiley

The artwork and bio fits Dr. Thunderland Jr. with a steampunk twist. smiley

I think Quirky is slowly going to quit doing arts for UR (or maybe he already has) I mean he didn't do an art for almost 3 months smiley Many may not care, but his arts are pretty darn good in my opinion. smiley

I HATE when the average stats slowly go up in a card game. It happened in Pokemon TCG, and I don't want to see it happen in Urban Rivals. It makes the old cards we know and love entirely useless.smiley

In terms of power creep, 9 power was kinda inevitable. However, in the older UR game 'clients' the graphics made it clear that the maximum power was 8. This was done using a 'meter' and the amount it was filled up by indicated the amount of power it had. There was one for damage too. Since there were 8 bars, it was understood that 8 power and damage was the max. Now, it seems like UR has broken their own rules.
