We are all made up of star dust but this is particularly true of Galactea, the Skeelz member who manipulates cosmic matter! However, no one would have guessed that her powers would take on subatomic proportions and would literally end up atomizing her... This tragic event could have been the ends of things for Galactea if someone hadn’t whispered in professor's Anton's ear that it would be a good idea to make her a special suit. Once completed, the professor saw the suit fill with a strange substance before coming to life and taking on the form of his obliterated student. After several months of this strange arrangement, Galactea managed to more or less rematerialize herself, although she does have to limit the use of her staggering powers unless, that is, she wants to end up as a little heap of quarks.

You're the size of a galaxy, why do you care about a tiny little Earth town's turf wars? And how do you still get your cosmic particles handed to you by (including but not limited to) an anti-virus program, a meth dealer and a guy who owns a dart gun?

Also, first female release since MCC 2015, therefore top and only contender for MCC 2016. Rate green if tautology.

Galactea...Wow that spacey artwork just trips my ballsack out

Galactea is a great example of how to balance a nuking card whilst also giving it a need for some strategy other than 'lel fury nuke I win haha'. Toxin is perfectly used on this card allowing for the singular life drain, that would otherwise be average if it was poison, and not needing it to be higher which would start letting it mimic Greem's 50/50'ness!

Let's see she has nice solid power so can still win rounds, albeit she will obviously have some difficulty vs the problematic power and attack manipulators- a common Skeelz problem. However she makes up for this by having her ability which turns her into a fat 8 damage card if used on the first turn unopposed, certainly nothing to sneeze at! Her ability also means that she's still rather useful on the 2nd and even 3rd turns as well (as a respective 7 or 6 damage card) which is still nothing to be ashamed of.

I would definitely say her best trait is the synergy with her own clan, unlike Xingshu's 'force them to pill with other's then fury Xingshu' this is a bait and switch card, whereby having Beck - Nena or Chiara in the wings allows for a great revenge attack. Throw in a Plunk or Redra and you're opponent will have a headache working out if Galactea is actually the incoming threat or not! Throw in her fantasticly delicious minimum of zero and she instantly meshes well with any defensive half deck as well (looking at you Pussycats) supporting their poison and stall tactics.

What this makes her overall is a 4* Skeelz that is still solid without her ability, although she really really loves it, has power to win the round, has great bluff potential and synergises well not only with her own clan but in support of Skeelz common 2 or 3 card splashes with other clans as well!!!

I am really loving Galactea she is a card done right! 8/10

Ooh. With high stats (8 Power + 4 Damage) and an ability that is actually helpful in any round (looking at you, Dounia Cr), this card is a pretty solid gal. It's not a total replacement for Xingshu, but she's a solid card. I would like it even better if it was Poison 2, Min. 2 but this works just as well.

The only thing I'm sad about is that her stats, while very solid, aren't packed with any winning manipulation. But she's a fearsome card, and with the great revenge cards that Skeelz has (Beck - Nena and Jay are examples) so, hey, you can easily put her in the deck, watch as they overpill to avoid 8 damage, then come back with a revenge B-N and smash them.

Oh, and remember what I said about Bullibullo slowly becoming my favourite artist in UR in my Salsa overview? This is another testament as to why.

Galactea's Diary
When you have friends who can stop time at will only to grab some lady's panties, or someone with an unhealthy vampire addiction, to the point that he mutated himself, with not so great results; you take stock of what it means to be enrolled into the academy in the first place. When I was first accepted to the academy for my abilities of shaping and manipulating cosmic matter at my own will, I was happy to be in the Space & Time classes to the full extent of learning of the wonders of space. However one day while in class my powers flared up, and somehow I ended up like space dust, don't know how it happened; but I didn't just roll over and die outright, I stayed close to what remained of my physical form, and convinced Anton to make a suit out to stabilize my powers, if whatever caused my power to flare up and nearly killed me. After months of making the suit I now inhabit, I now ended up like a space alien for the Saks, than an actual human being; but the results brought me back to life without Dr. Falkenstein's necromancy skills worked out in the long run. Now I can rematerialize my body at will, but at a limit.

Like many others said already; this really looks like a Xingshu replacement, having only one less life gap and a different strategy than her ELO-banned classmate. They both are somewhat predictable due to their conditional abilities, but both can be played unpredictably because of their bonus.

Now, my only problem with her is that Galactea lacked something Xingshu had: late-round playability. While at first, it wasn't as obvious of a problem, but Xingshu had her fun because of her teammates' support. Pillz were being thrown left and right at the sight of Plunk, Dr Falkenstein, and Beck - Nena, while Xingshu happily awaits the opponent's demise as every pill wasted by the opponent assures her victory.

Galactea however, is pretty much the card that shows you your strategy- the exact opposite of Xingshu. Opponent uses a lot of pillz against her? Then winning with powerhouses and att. manipulators like Beck - Nena would be a piece of cake. Opponent lets the Toxin through? Then you can bluff or stall with Redra and Plunk. (Maybe you can find a good strategy for her in the future.)

While Galactea in the early rounds doesn't have a consistent result unlike Xingshu, she makes up for a more unpredictable approach for your team. Oh, and she's not ELO-banned, so that's something, I guess. Might I add that she still has a potential to be a powerhouse in the later rounds: the time when many underestimate Toxic. She's literally a star in the making. People just need to get used to her and make her shine bright.
