As the crème-de-la-crème of the jet-set, the Uppers rule the night. They’ve got it all, and money, champagne and titles are certainly not in short supply. They generally dislike everyone but they particularly despise “the poor who just aren’t the teeniest bit funky”. The Uppers hope that the government will finally take steps to banish ugly people once and for all.

Dorian - 8/7 with -10 opp attack, min 3

- A very solid 8 power, that he retains at all levels. Which is amazing
- Lets break him down. At lvl3, he is the 2nd strongest 3* in Uppers (Zatman isn't a fair comparison). However, his damage of 3 isn't great
- At lvl4, he's the 2nd strongest 4* in Uppers (Jackie isn't a fair comparison). However, at the cost of one damage, he is more solid than Nellie and overpowers Beetenka. His 5 damage doesn't allow him to 2HKO with Rubie or Oxen, but it isn't bad at all.
- At lvl5, he is a beast. Strongest 5* in Uppers, 2nd highest solid damage (Zlatar). Lvl5 is his prime in my opinion, letting you 2HKO with Rubie, Nellie, Oxen, Stanford, or even a furious 2HKO with Burt or later-game Oxen.
- A great factor is that unlike many other Uppers, he needs neither his ability or bonus to function. Wait, he has no ability, so no fear from SoA clans
- His -10 opp attack bonus helps in battle, as it usually forces your opponents at least 2 pills to beat him
- High stats, reduction ability, great bluff
- A wise man once said, "Dorian Punch" Truer words have ever been spoken

- At lvl5, he is 5*
- He lacks an ability, never good
- His damage is odd for an Upper (whose main number is 6). Not a flaw though, just dd
- DR can really slow the Dorian

Overall: 9.5/10. Dorian is my favorite card in this game, and with reason. Most of his flaws are minor. His Upper competition is ELO-banned. An amazing card in every level, evert way and that's why he's awesome.

I honestly don't get it, Zatman is banned, Uppers is NOT overpowered anymore. Why would you ban Dorian ...? Rate green if you agree!

The Mission he has is:
"As Seen on TV"
Inflict 300 Damages with Dorian
It is worth 20 Mission Points
You get 250 Clintz for completing this Mission.
Is this a Secret Mission? Yes

Rate green for people to know what his mission is and not stress out that they try so hard but cannot finish his mission.

That awkward moment when you see Dorian in your opponent's hand and ur like, Man I'm screwed smiley

Dorian is, at least partly, a likely reference to Dorian Gray, the protagonist from Oscar Wilde's novel "The Picture of Dorian Gray," in which a superficial, immoral and very rich man wishes for eternal youth and beauty, at the expense of his actual self being portrayed in earnest through a portrait an artist has painted of him. As Dorian abuses himself and anyone else he can victimize, his portrait warps and ages, until it is as ghastly as his soul.

Dorian's mantra throughout the novel is, paraphrased, "Only beauty and pleasure matter."

"The Picture of Dorian Gray" was made into a film first in 1945, and is coming to theaters again in 2009. "The Picture of Dorian Gray" is often considered to be Oscar Wilde's only published novel.

"To start with, everyone has to be beautiful. It's not going to be easy."

You just know this guy and Herman are going to be mortal enemies.

Everyone has to be beautiful? Kick Herman out!

Dorian: The best 5* Uppers Card due to it's flexibility, it's raw power, and it's reliability without an Ability.

Dorian...Can be used from 3*, 4*, and most used at 5*. He is a definite threat with the likes of Jackie Cr, Zatman, and Oxen in is faction. Even Herman, Nellie, and Jackie Cr would be amazing! An old card, but still a powerful card throughout the years.

Pros:

8 power: Yes, I list this as a pro everytime. Who doesn't like a card with a base power of 8? 8 Base power is one of the most useful Pros ever.

7 damage: This is what he gets for having no ability. He probably could have been Jackie Cr's copy, but instead he has no ability and 7 damage. 7 damage helps finish off with so many cards in Uppers, T1 or T2 alike.

Playability: This card can play in almost all conditions. Attack Manipulation, SOA, SOB, DRs, and much more! Nothing can really stop Dorian, the TV man!

-10 opp. attack, min. 3- This is one of the best bonuses in UR. It is because he can fight in Low Pill battles, High pill battles, and could face any situation in a flash

Flexibilty: Can be used at 3*, 4*, and 5*. Just like Zatman is used at 1*, 2*, and 3*. I could see me facing a 4* Dorian one day.

Con:

No ability: Truth is, No ability is pretty ghetto. You have to agree.

Overall: 9/10

Why does this card deserve a 9/10? This card only gets 9/10 because over the ages that he has been a good card.... there are now better. Herman and Nellie got released, and even if they arent good against SOA, they are very effective when not facing SOA. There is also now Kolos, Hawk, and much more cards that have been released throughout the ages that are considered better than Dorian. So yes, Dorian's flaw is that he is not as strong as some of the newer cards released after him.

Dorian- "We all gotta be beautiful. Get lost, Herman."

An 8/7 with no ability and the Uppers bonus of -10 Opp. Attack Min. 3.

Pros:
8 power, highest natural power in the game.
7 Damage, allows beastly 2HKOs with Rubie, Nellie and an Oxen played first, 3 commonly used Upper cards.
Great art.
A wonderful bluff. With the Uppers bonus and 8 power, the opponent has to be at 19 or more power to beat him.
A great 3 star filler. 8/3 for a 3 star is great.
A great 4 star filler. At 4 starts he's a Lovhak with the Uppers bonus.
You can throw him out against SoA cards. Since he can function without his bonus, All-Stops aren't much of a problem.
If Dorian fought ever All-Stop on equal Pillz, the only one that would beat him is a Courageous Shakra.
Damage reducers won't do much. Uranus and Graks will reduce his damage to 2, and what's the chances your Dorian will face one. You can easily avoid it, since you probably won't encounter both in the same deck.

Cons:
No ability.
5 stars

Similar cards:
Lovhak (Vortex)
Sum Sam Cr (Bangers)
Jeeves (Uppers)
Nanook (Ulu Watu)

Compare and contrast time smiley

Herman
Against SoA, Herman is horrible. SoA does literally nothing to Dorian. Sure, Herman has one more damage, but with how common SoA is these days, 1 Up to Dorian.

Hefty
Hefty is a decently priced 7/6, with SoB, and (Correct me if I'm wrong) he is the only Uppers SoB aside from Samatha, and Uppers really needed a SoB that could hold their own against SoA. Dorian has one more power and one more damage though, but pretty much the same 2HKO options. I'm gonna say tie. Dorian gets .5

Tyler
Just... No. +1 Dorian

Jeeves
Jeeves is another good no ability card. What Jeeves lacks is good power for a 5 star. Dorian has great power and great damage. Jeeves has great damage and decent power. Unfortunately for Jeeves, you can't get the dmage through without the power. +1 Dorian.

Sydney
Now, if Sydney is played on the first round and her poison goes through, 9 damage will be given to your opponent by the fourth turn. HOWEVER, win with an Upper who has 3 or more damage, you just lost a turn of poison, which isn't all that good. Sydney is decent for beginners to medium level Uppers users, but I say go Dorian if you can. Add one to Dorian.

So, all in all;

Dorian: 4.5
Everyone else (just Hefty really): 0.5

Overall: 10/10.

Like Slify, Dorian is my favorite card. I, however, give him a perfect score. Am I being too generous? His only big competition is Hefty, and Hefty is a really good card. What does that say about Dorian? He's a really good card too. Criticize me all you want for giving a perfect 10, but I think the D-man deserves it.
