Vryer - 4/4 with -4 opp attack, min 1 (ability) and SoA (bonus)

- A decent 4 damage (6 with fury).
- A nifty attack manipulation that is good for beginners with a low min of 1.
- 4 power at lvl1. Not a horrible filler

- Power is quite low to be use in more experienced battles
- The attack reduction is a little on the low side

Overall: 4.5/10. I Don;t believe Vryer is a good card for beginners. IF I were a beginner going into GHEIST, I would buy Darth and Luba over Vryer. However, I'd recommend Vryer as a good teaching card. With attack reduction, a beginner can get used to when to pill and when not pill with attack manipulation covered that can be beneficial wit that beginner wants to try using other clans like Montana or Uppers. However, Vryer is only a stepping stone and shouldn't be used in higher-level play

This guy is always creating/releasing unto the world the biggest monsters in UR.
He created Leviatonn and XU52 and he released Wardom and even Kolos .
And yet he is one of the weaker cards in UR.
He is the quintessential mad scientist.

You know, I see bad cards in the database, and a lot of times I see people commenting about how something is a good starter card, or beginner card... Maybe it's just me, but when I read those comments, my brain reads, "It MIGHT beat Kate when she is only throwing low leveled pieces of crap at you." Not that this card is completely incapable of winning a battle or anything... The sun shines on a dog's posterior every once in a while... But lets say you were trying to get your girlfriend or Buddy into the game... Would you really send them this card, knowing their novice skills and lack of familiarity with the game? If someone can regularly win games with this card, they are a master, not a beginner.

That being said, I enjoy that cards like this are in the game. I have that collector's bug when it comes to stuff, and I love reading the stories and trying to win games with cards like this against a couple of lower leveled friends. However, if Caciope flat out whoops you in most circumstances, you're probably not a good card for beginners. (I say this even though I am a close personal friend of Caciope's. I even know where he got the bag.)

This is one of the best cheap cards for any new GHEIST player!
Power: level 1= 3 level 2= 3 level 3= 4
Damage: level 1= 3 level 2= 4 level 3= 4
Ability: level 1= N/A level 2= N/A level 3= -4 opp. attack, min 1
Bonus: level 1= Stop opp. ability level 2= Stop opp. ability level 3= Stop opp. ability

The good:
-4 to a minimum of 1 means you can play Vryer without pills. Vryer's damage threat of 4 leaves the potential for a kill with XU52 alone or withe Vladimir, Draheera, Anibal, Methane, Rolph, Sigmund Cr and Darth with rage. You could even grab a kill with Igniss if properly used!

This is a potential start to a two hit kill with no pills invested!

The GHEIST bonus to stop abilities of other characters will bypass many counter damage cards and can be used as a defense against offensive abilities.

Finally the price is right. At a standard price of 250 clintz you can't do much better!

The bad:
Vryer's power of 4 leaves him weak against most cards in a battle that requires you to use pills and investing more then 1 in him is a waste in most cases.

Overall I'd rate this card as a good buy for starting players and a possible play for low to mid-rank tourney play.

Strynge report

Mr.Ghiest, I would like to inform you that meetings have been taking place between Vryer Dolly and Methane as well as Annibal. They have been using parts collected by Methane to create what i believe is a clone of Annibal and are tinkering with it . possibly suspicious
