r Tomas

Released on Friday 03/07/09

As the last remaining survivor of a very old family from Poldachie-Golgovine, Tomas has inherited the family sword that, as well as being quite decorative, is also well and truly cursed. Ever since he laid his hands on it, Tomas can’t put it down and is condemned to constantly battle with the blood-thirsty demon that inhabits it. Just as well Jay and Aylen are there to help him, otherwise he’d have cracked up long ago, just like all his ancestors before him.

Okay.. this puts another Poldachie-Golgovine family member in UR.
Let Enumerate Shall We....
DJ Korr Cr "The Violin Player"
Gertrud "The Athlete"
Venus "The Mistress"
Zlatar "The Rich Guy"
Ielena "The Vampire"
Kharl "The Servant"
Trey "The Accountant"
Emeth "The Bomber" -Was Kicked out
Nellie "The Princess"
Tomas "The Warrior"
In my perspective, the Poldachie-Golgovine is a certain place in which the people there are exeptionally talented
and filled with crazy, wierd and rare families.(Vampires,Demon Slayers,Rich People etc.)
I just noticed that the Poldachie-Golgovine is very common in bios of characters.

Caelus's Student Reveiw Log:

Student 210

When Tomas first became a student at the academy, I almost thought it a mistake. The reason he was accepted was due to his family line, and that he had potential. No skill was even possesed by him at the time other than decent swordsmanship and an extreme paranoia about demons coming after him. Infact, I almost sent him home, but instead, he struck up a freindship with Ayleen, and Jay. Soon, it seemed he was calming down, and even showing glimpses of some sort of summoning ability. After a while, he was renowned around Skeelz for being a demon slayer after heling Danae send a rabid ghoul back into the spirit world.

It would be an understatment to say I was impressed. From the reposts I received the ghoul was a high calibur revenant and was capable of great many terrifying feats. Yet Tomas defeated unharmed. And even more impressive, lately he has been seen summoning a demon of his own to help him fight. I wonder how he summoned that one. Anyhow, Tomas has proved himself as one of the greatest warriors of Skeelz, and I am sincerly happy I allowed him to remain here.

Tomas - 8/6 with SoB (ability) and Protection: Ability (bonus)

- Amazingly solid power of 8, which is always nice
- High damage of 6 (8 with fury) that allows you to kill with Jay or a furious Chiara.
- Solid base stats all around are great when SoB is added to the equation. Montana and Uppers don't have much to brag about with him out.
- Striker killer, since protection ensures that their bonus is leaving
- Reminds me much of modern fantasy novels. The actual one this card would be based off escapes me...should have read more as a kid

- 5*s is 5*s and takes a lot of room
- Not really a flaw, but I'm just reminding everyone that this isn't a Full-stop!

Overall: 9/10. I really didn't know how rate this guy. I mean, high raw stats, useful abiltiy that ensures it'll stay is great, but he suffers against enemies with really good abilities like Cooper and Askai and those enemies aren't that rare. Still high raw stats are high raw stats. great card

Review #11

Let me start by saying that this card has one epic back story :)

Anyways, Tomas is a total brute. 8 power, 6 damage, this guy was made to muscle past Montana and Rescue, two clans that Skeelz have trouble facing. His bonus helps (Albiet a little less) against Bangers and Ulu Watu, who almost always have equal to or higher power than the Skeelz.

See, the problem stems from the Skeelz bonus being relatively neutral to all clans except for Roots/GHEIST, and essentially Piranas/Nightmare. All the other clan's bonuses are stacked on top of thier abilities, giving them an advantage. But Tomas is what UR made to stop it.

An average 5 star in Skeelz (Let's just use Aylen) would have trouble against Don from Montana. Don would use 0 pillz, and you would have to use 3 to just pass all his attack manipulation. Tomas only needs one :)

Let's see Tomas:

Vs. Dwan? 8 power SOB is easier to win with than 7 power and nothing helpful. However, with 1 other dr (Redra. And another confident one, Deebler) I'd take Dwan over him for versatility. Instead of winning by brute force and pillz, I'd rather send Dwan out and save some pillz. +1 Dwan

Vs. Logan? This one is easy. Logan's 8 "Damage" only work on turn 1/2, making him really predictable. +1 Tomas

Vs. Aylen? Although Aylen can win a match just by fury/9 pillz against lower-damage hands, she has a hard time connecting that 5 damage and 5 life. She's a beast, but Tomas is a beast that eats kittens. +1 Tomas

Vs. Eloxia? Eloxia is a great card, plain and simple. Whenever I play as Skeelz in deathmatch/survivor, I use her as my 5 star. Her ability to fork (And 2 hit with a furied Jay after losing) and the great mind games she can pull off make me put her ahead of Tomas. +1 Eloxia

Vs. Caelus Cr? Normally I don't put in CR's if I think thier out of range fo most people, but he's not that hard to get. His ability is a killer, and 8 damage is more than 6 (Durrr). He is weak, though, to other clan's attack manipulation with only 4 power, but I'd take this guy over Tomas due to his sheer strength. +1 Caelus Cr

In the end: Tomas-2 Everyone else-3

His compitition outshine him, even though he's strong. It's because in non-Montana/Rescue situations, it normally takes 1 more pill to beat out thier bonus, and his ability is useless Vs. SOA clans (What Skeelz were made to punish). That's not really a problem, however it might affect you.

Now, for the Pros/Cons:

+ 8 Power. Highest you can get without an ability like Sandro.

+6 Damage. Can cut your life in half. Can fury 2 hit with Sandro, and that's all I can really think of off-hand.

+ SOB. Great for dealing with Montana and Rescue, the bane of Skeelz (In my time using them).

And that brings me to:

- None, really. Just maybe that he's pure-offense. But it's a good thing he's good at it.

Hmm... Should I buy him or Eloxia... Oh god this is a hard decision!

Eloxia: 7/7 Defeat poison 1 min 0
Tomas: 8/6 SoB
Eloxia wins in damage... Tomas wins in power - and ability!
I got Greem so I don't need a poisoner... And Tomas ability would be great against cards like Montana, All Stars and Vortex...

Tomas U WIN! :*:

8/6.... awesome power and damage... :nosey:

Just to give some folks an idea of how useful this card is offensively, I'm going to list off some of the monstrous cards he can beat Pill for Pill
1. Nearly every single member of the Bangers (discluding Courageous Willy, Loocio, and that new support+Power card, Bodenpower below 5pillz)
2. Most, if not all, of the Huracan
3. Every Montana except for Mona, Enzo, and their Protection Bonus
4. Every Rescue except for Sledge, a confident Wesley and Buddy (if he goes first)
5. Most of the Riots
His weakness? Clans that don't use their bonus to win (GHEIST, Roots, Nightmare, Piranas, La Junta, Jungo, Fang Pi, Berzerk) and cards with good Attack or power manip abilities (Ghumbo, Rolph, Emeth Cr, etc.)
In addition, he competes with Minerva, Michael, and the ever favorite Caelus Cr for top spot. Honestly though, until Skeelz gets a 5* attack manipulator, he will still be the best card to deal with Attack Manipulation, making him a staple.
