u Neloe

Released on Friday 18/06/10

To enable the clan killers to find their way about town and identify their targets, Neloe slips through the city streets leaving subtle signs that only Vortex members can spot and read. Fast and discreet, she prefers not to have to fight herself but is very capable of defending herself should the need present itself.

First development of the 2 of this character’s different developments:

Neloe - 7/2 with -3 opp damage, min 3 (ability) and Defeat: Recover 2 pillz out of 3 (bonus)

- A very solid power of 7.
- I say very because with her Defeat, she can effectively use a low amount of pills with lower risk. Example: Neloe can use 3 pills (28 attack). If your opponent lets Neloe through, you have just effectively stopped a potential attacker. If your opponent actually pills to beat Neloe, not only do you get 2 out of hose 3 pills back, but your opponent just lot of boatload of pills.
- In addition, Neloe reduces that damage by 3, which makes your opponent's victory less significant
- And at a low star count of 2, leaving you room for bigger guns
- Finally, a strategy is to 0 pill her, since you reduce the damage and actually gain a pill back.

- The min on her ability is kinda high (3)
- Besides Defeat, she has nothing to aid her in battle. So if you have to win a round, all you can rely on is pills.
- Like other Defeat cards, her bonus is useless on the last round, but by then, it probably doesn't matter.

Overall: 9/10. I really do like Neloe. She forces your opponent to decide either to take 2 damage and lose a card or losing a handful of pills to do less damage. Just don't get overconfident simply because Neloe has Defeat and overpilling her, excepting your opponent to use more pills to beat her all the time. Because if she wins, those pills are gone forever.

Subject: Neloe

After writing a tidbit about my partner Butch, I have decided to keep forward with analyzing my fellow Vortex mates stuck in the past. I decided the next subject should be Neloe, our special ops (though we all are in a sense) silent killer.
Neloe rarely fights insurgency style, as some of our Vortex kin do. Almost always on her own, she discreetly picks off one of her targets, and calls in Sunder to take care of the mess before anyone discovers it.
Should Neloe be discovered (she got into a nasty encounter with Ongh, and he snapped her arm), there is always a fellow Vortex there to assist her, since the affore mentioned incedent. Not to say Neloe can't fend for herself, as she packs a punch. One time Leviatonn found her sneaking about, but before it could maim her of Deea maim it, Neloe gave Dr Saw something to fix up during his free time.
Neloe is a valued Vortex warrior. I can see why Dregn sent her first. She does her duty, and she does it well. But she isn't cold blooded, like some of us. She is well aware of her teammates, and does all she can to assist them, whether on the battlefield or off. I do enjoy fighting by her side if she has her cover blown, as it sure beats working with Butch.

I can’t see why the Vortex doesn’t just nuke clint city. It would make their lives a lot more easy. Oh I forgot you can’t nuke the past… but surely they are killing the clan Leader then? You know all this past and future stuff makes me very hungry… Anyway Neloe (have a guess how you pronouce this cards name) is one of the four recruits for the Vortex this week.

Confusing bonus explained

"Defeat: recover 2 pillz out of 3"
what does that mean?
well you will recover 2/3 of all the pillz you played (round down)

- Play with 1 pillz total => gain 1 pillz for next round.
- Play with 3 pillz total => recover 2,
- Play with 12 pillz total => recover 8

Got it?
Good because I haven’t…

Stats: 7/2 – 3 damage min 3.

Dang I swear all these cards remind me of other cards. I mean really I expected the future to have 100/100 card stats but then they wouldn’t be coming to the past then would they… Oh right I was reviewing…

Like all the releases all the abilities are like chalk and cheese (yeah I never understood that phrase either). Neloe is no exception. While having a glass cannon ability that rivals Na Boh (big shot card…) it can still reduce most meta-game to great effect.

Remember 0 pillz = 1pill gained so this card is a perfect reducing recovery card to get a pill back

Neloe is no pushover by any means. She stills has the high 7 power for a 2* and can defend herself as well as reduce.

Despite this she is still anchored by that crummy 2 damage. 3pillz may sound like an awesome idea due to the bonus recovery but what if someone doesn’t respond? Wow 2 damage and I wasted 3 pillz…

SOB hinders the appeal of this card a little leaving her at just a 7/2 with a Na Boh like ability…
Oh and GHEIST can nuke this card to death as well as Lou (anyone else use that card?)

With this in mind she isn’t a dual threat card by any means like deaa however means for one of the best cannon fodder cards in the game. Who wouldn’t want to gain a pill by sacrificing this annoyance?

Overall: This card is a great addition for the clan. DR is a superb idea for the clan. Despite having not the best DR ability can still be a wrench in the works for your opponent to face.

Dregn's Vortex Log:

Subject 405

Today, I shall be examining another of my favorite members of the Vortex clan. She's as intelligent, as she is cunning and sly. Her name is Neloe, otherwise known as, the Tracker. I call her such, because that is precisely what she does most of her time. She is the main reason the Vortex have gotten where we are today. With her speed and agility, along with her cunning stealth, she is able to sweep the city streets, without even alerting anyone to her presence. She makes an excellent spy and is the main person I rely on when I want to spy on the Clint City leaders.

It is also because of Neloe that we are able to identify who are the real threats to our plan of taking over this pathetic city. Whenever she goes on her missions, Neloe always leaves clues and signs behind that only we, the Vortex, are able to locate and read. Were it not for her, the Vortex would have been finished off long ago. Despite the fact that she is a spy, Neloe is also an accomplished fighter, though she would prefer not to dirty her hands by fighting 'filth'. I couldn't agree with her more. Neloe is truly one of a kind. If I didn't know any better, I doubt she were a descendent from those horrible martial artists known as the Fang Pi Clang.

But that matters little to me. I truly am Lucky to have found and recruited her. Ha. What am I saying? That's not luck, that's skill.

I think people don't quite understand- this is Vortex, if you got a good damage reducer it would be almost broken, unless of course it had minimal attack potential (think Arno). However she is pretty good, 7 power is good, 2 damage isn't abysmal and with the ability to lose and take the Sting off your opponents Hammer, such as Sledg or what have you, it is invaluable, plus the extra pill helps. In a bind she can win and activate confidence abilities and shock your opponent, very good card, a staple for mono and dare I say it halves,

Once again Slify made me laugh giving a 9/10 on a close-to-be-useless card like this while giving a 7/10 to complete beasts like Jay. I am surprised he didn't give it a 10/10 tbh being the noob he was. This is hillarious for the good players to be reading Slify 's stupid reviews but I just don't like the idea that newer players will take his noobish reviews seriously like this one for example and buy this card just because they see someone say such good things about this card only to realise when they became more experienced players that this card sucks having just an unaided 7/2 which is so small even for 2 stars and with such a high minimum you will almost never get full of effect. This is why I believe that Slify reviews should all get deleted. Sure it's fun for the good players enjoying ourselves with such noobness but we should all respect the newbies and don't hurt them and their potential like that. So again please delete all his noobish reviews thank you. Oh and for the record this card gets a 5/10 at best. Huge high, no help in battle, just 7 power, no bluff potential, too obvious, is in a deck and clan that has much better 2 star card options, dr doesn't do much for Vortex anyways when it is so high and at least 3 damage is sure going through, soa makes it even worse than it already is, is useless for most strategies, is completely useless outside of elo or type 1 game. I wouldn't recommend it not even to beginners considering that even Negodz is better than this as he has 4 damage and virtually same power and is a lot cheaper too.
