Built on an assembly line in the GHEIST’s ultra-secret robot factory in the heart of the Northern Mountains, the Elke are a little surprise the GHEIST save for their very best enemies. They’re androids with particularly “explosive” temperaments.

This card has been extremely underrated by Silfy, in my speculative opinion;

#1 As a GHEIST player, I've often found myself in a position of pill dominance due to tricky play. The problem is, many clan bonuses can render the advantage relatively harmless - Ulu Watu, Montanas, Uppers, and All-Stars all pose serious attack/power manipulation problems (Bangers typically rely more on abilities than Ulu). Even the +/- 8 attack clans are a pain, as even Arkn can't force them to spend that one extra pill. Elke can. She can quite literally force that extra pill out of anyone, anytime, except...

#2 ...Against all-stops and Roots/GHEIST. But, upon further consideration, Elke is actually the best GHEIST 2-star to face up with either these clans or the all-stops. Z3r0 D34d is useless with one damage, Arkn is trapped at a mediocre five power, while Platinum is a lowly four. Faced with Glorg or Dieter, Elke's power is equal to either, but her two stars give her the advantage. Spycee is toast, though Kristin may be a problem.

I hope I've shown briefly why I believe Elke may turn out to be a more useful card than first assumed. Her usage just may be trend-based (Speaking in terms of ELO clan popularity), but if certain situations are likely to be encountered by certain deck builds, getting that one extra pill off your back or hitting that three damage from your two-star can be crucial. None of this is to say that in a raw sense she will vault above Arkn or Z3r0 D34d; far from it. But, if a third option is sought, I would definitely consider Elke above the other options.

Elke-The kamikaze
Great now we have to face kamizake as well as zombies and mad housewives!!!!!!

-SOA is great for a bonus
-6 power is great for a 2 star (more then arkn at least)
-Ability is GREAT. Lose with her and your opponent loses their pills. Also its an extremely low minimum of 2 so even in late rounds this card can do its magic.
-Bonus/ability is great together. Bonus can take out the poisoners, cards like skrumxxt, or cards like jautya, while ability makes your opponent lose their pills.
-She is another usable 2 star for gheist. This is a HUGE blessing. i am not sure if i would use her over my arkn or z3r0 d34d, but she definitely being used over ludmilla or morhla. Also with 3 good 2 stars you can put in those big 4/5 stars that gheist have.

-Easily beaten by attack manipulation or power manipulation (getting beat can be good tho)
-Kinda obvious whats she going to do. so best played when your opponent goes first.
-SOA teams or all stops destroy most of her use.

-3 damage is fine not good or bad for a 2 star.

Overall not a bad card. 3 string for 2 stars but that just adds to the depth of the roster.
I give her a 7.5/10, nothing fancy but first defeater who can make opponents lose pills. Next they need one of these cards for piranhas. Heck you could just make a half deck with her/piranhas (pill manipulation for both teams and an SOA/SOB combo. DEADLY.

On a side note i think a better kamikaze card would be Courage and defeat where your opponent loses a lot of health and you lose a little health as well. it would definitely be the longest ability so far.

Elke - 6/3 with Defeat: -1 opp pill, min 2 (ability) and SoA (bonus)

- 3 damage is decent for a 2*.
- 6 power is average, but that is ok since Elke has a defeat ability. -1 opp pill is always an annoying little thing.
- And SoA removes of some attack/pill/power manipulation, so your opponent may need a pill or two.
- Also becasue of this, since every expects you to go for the defeat, it is possible to surprise your opponents with Elke and pill her a bit more than usual to try and get that 3 damage out. Of course, this move isn't normally recommend due to the extreme risk of it.

- No attack or power manipulation to go with that ability. SoA is nice to have, but a lot of clans can beat this card without the use of a lot of pills.
- And since your opponent only loses 1 pill, the pill gap might not shift greatly in your favor.
- The biggest reason no to use Elke is the competition though

Overall: 6/10. Sadly, Elke's true potential may never be seen. GHEIST have a clanful of powerful and useful 2*. Z3r0 D34d has a decent 7 power and can do 4 damage. Arkn has 4 damage and attack manipulation. Platinum is the power manipulator that can beat a lot of dangerous threats, and 4 4* is usually excessive. Her defeat isn't terrible, and adding more ills to it probably makes her way overpowered, but I really see no reason to use Elke over the 3 stated beforehand. A real shame.

I don't think you people really understand the true beauty of Elke. She looks weak, on paper, because she's got bleh stats and she only slices away one pill on defeat. However, in game, her potential is astronomical. If you have huge threats in play, your opponent is going to try to avoid pilling big, because if they pill big and you block with Elke, not only did they just put themselves out of the extra pillz they had intended to beat your threat, but they're also stripped of one more from Elke, who can further set them behind. Elke is an underestimated card, and her single pill drain and use as a deterrent from heavy pilling attacks makes her extremely useful.

Vryer's Experiment Log

Experiment #230

While the clans in the city continued their battle against one another for complete control, we were all shocked and surprised by the appearance of the new clan, which came to be known as the Vortex. A group of time travelers from the future, they apparently have come to the past to destroy all those who would stand in their way of conquering Clint City in the future. Confusing, I know. I didn't entirely understand myself when I first heard of it.

Anyway, because we underestimated the new clan and their time traveling abilities, the GHEIST were nearly decimated at the hands of the Vortex. Toro gave an immediate order for evacuation and we abandoned our base to head for the Northern Mountains. We arrived in the mountains within a week, but because we hadn't expanded our influence this far, we had no base to relocate to.

Therefore, we had no choice but to build an entirely new one from scratch. We were lucky to have brought some emergency supplies just in case. Thanks to the help of the Gheistlings, we managed to have a new base built in less than a week. I truly outdid myself when I made those guys. As we all got settled into our new base, I was given immediate orders by Toro to construct a machine to strike back at the Vortex. He didn't have to tell me, for I was planning on building a new experiment, regardless.

The problem is, I currently had no ideas of what to build. And what's worse, most of my experiments and tools I used were left back in our base in Clint City, so there was going to be some trouble. As I tried to figure out what to do, I spotted some Gheistlings marching around, as Toro gave them various orders. They were my first experiment upon joining GHEIST, and though they could be a handful, they did provide some security for the GHEIST. As I pondered an idea, I started researching up on the Vortex, and found much useful information on their creatures.

The one that I was truly interested in, was the beast called C Wing. Apparently, they were soulless creatures sent into battle to do damage and then when it was near death, it would destroy itself, taking as many enemy combatants with it. Suddenly, I felt an idea coming in my head. Looking back at the Gheistlings, I realized that they could be mass produced simply because we had the materials to do so. They were our own personal army. And that was when it hit me! I knew what I was going to create!

After I had Toro grant me permission, Me, Dolly, and about a thousand Gheistlings set out for the heart of the Northern Mountains. It was there we constructed a large, but ultra-secret robot factory where I unveiled my latest invention. The Elke, a group of cybernetic androids. At first glance, they may appear to be nothing but that, but that's where the surprise comes in. Upon closer inspection, there is a bomb inside each Elke's body. Whenever, it is sent into battle, and locates an enemy from one of the other clans, a timer starts off in their belly, silently ticking down, without the enemy's awareness. When the timer reaches zero, both the Elke and the enemy go... KABOOM.

Truly, they are the epitome of my research. What's more, because they are mass produced like the Gheistlings, there is never a need to worry about running out. However, the main fault of these beauties is that besides the bomb, they have no other offensive capabilities, and also, they cost a lot more to make than the Gheistlings. Therefore, Toro and I have decided that we shall only unleash these killer machines when we want to make a point. I anxiously await the Vortex's next attack. When they come, they are going to have a little... surprise waiting for them.

I think Slify's 6/10 is much to low for this card. Diginator's 7.5 seems much more accurate.

Slify's has given her only 0.5 more than Embolt and yet she has a full extra damage and a much better bonus while having the same power and an ability of similar value.

Also, Jeto has been given a 7/10. If this card and Jeto were in the same clan I would consider it a difficult decision between the two of them.

Also, considering the problems Platinum has against all Attack manipulation clans, All Stars, Roots and GHEIST I am guess this card will almost always be used before him once it comes down in price.

How can she be NOT a staple for a gheist deck?

The strength and playstyle of a gheist deck is
to crush their opponents with raw power and to deal massive damage.
while disrupting your enemy's capabilities.

and what do they need to achieve that? a pillz advantage of course.

Elke is a perfect defensive card because with SoA you can nullify incoming Poison / -Life / +Damage. If you do take the hit you'll be snatching one crucial pill that can turn the tides for a critical hit.

From my experience, Elke's mind-game factor is really effective. When your opponent sees her in your hand, trust me they WILL be preparing a no-pill card on you to minimize their loses. This would work to your advantage so you can land that extra punch. It's also good to put maybe 2 pillz on her to deal some nice 3 damage.

She would definitely go over Arkn in my deck 'cause she can be effective in a win or lose fight instead of arkn taking 4~5 pills for a win.

rate green if you think too many people underestimate Elke smiley

Elke, sitting @ 6/3 Bonus: SoA Ability: Defeat: -1 Opp. Pillz, Min 2

she is one of the most controversial cards in the game.
While she doesn't look like much,in half decks, she is more than enough to cover up for the (now) lost Arkn in any
deck that consistently pushes 2HKO in ELO.
That said, it is far more difficult with the 14 life cap, BUT GHEIST have some of the most powerfull 8 point damage cards in the game.

- low star count
- good with other manipulation cards (hint : piranas/gheist half decks)
- decent damage for the case you'll need her to push for 3(up to 5 with fury) damage and give you the game.
- SoA will make her a double kill ; negate an annoying ability AND take away one of your opponent's pillz (her min is too low anyways to cause a prob)
- baits out bluffs. You have her and a 5-8 dmg making card, opponent knows he has to sac something later on so he goes 2 pills with a 7powered card, you go 3 pillz and BANG!
3 dmg, same pillz with your opponent for your heavy hitter and his dreams shattered.

- Doesn't do much against other SoA and without support cannot be used as generic filler as efficiently as Arkn or Z3r0.
- Art is BAD.
- Again doesnt do much without a deck that fits with her.She belongs to more control oriented decks, with health and pillz manipulation, NOT in something too aggro.

Definitely worth more than double her price tag, IMO give her a chance and she can shine.
ELO : 8.5/10 (surprise factor)
DM : got better choices (Bonny *cough*) 6/10
Survival ELO : 9/10 (later games she can make or break the game for you)
Surv. T2 : Ahkab will essentially do the same more efficiently and with the chance of landing 8 delicious dmg.

Clint City, day.
