c Victoria

Released on Friday 01/07/11

Victoria has a quality that is very rare amongst La Junta - she can talk properly, nicely and above all, calmly. As a result she's been put in charge of negotiations, talks and diplomacy and on the whole does a pretty good job of it. But if she doesn’t get what she wants, she can get really wound up and end up being as violent as the most hard-core La Junta members!

First development of the 2 of this character’s different developments:

It's story time kids. Let me tell you the story of the La Junta, Sentinel, and the Rescue in the magical world of ELO. Once upon a time, these clans were the best in ELO. The La Junta's ability to cause major damage to the opponent while the Sentinel and the Rescue's ability to manipulate attack were forces to be reckoned with. What's more is, they have some of the best abilities ever! Bryan, with his SOA and 7/7, Havok, with his Power manipulation, Chloe, with her damage reducing skills, Alec (now a CR) with his powerful potential 8 damage; they were some of the best. But one day, someone really smart found a way to destroy them. He (or she) used the GHEIST or Roots (no one knows which) to destroy their abilities and make them vulnerable. Toro and his ability to inflict an easy 5 damage, Leviatonn (I think I spelled it right) and his ability to negate their Bonus as well, these are only a few of the forces these heroic clans had to face against the brink of the evil GHEIST (The Roots are Chill). Soon, these powerful clans were pushed to the bottom. But then, one day, when all hope seemed lost...the Jungo Clan arrived! When they arrived, they introduced the ability known as Stop. Since their bonus was so similar to the Junta, they were the first to use the Stop ability. With cards like Scotty, Adler, Greeow, and Kreen, they gain broken abilities that activate whenever they fight against the GHEIST (or Roots, or anyone with SOA for that matter). So, for the first time in what seemed like a lifetime...good was winning again! The Sentinel, Rescue, and the La Junta are hired recruits and trained them in the Stop ability. Malia, with her life gaining abilities, the lovable bear Glosh, with his power gaining abilities, and now, Victoria, with her power reducing abilities. The GHEIST are in trouble now!

Yea...rate green...pleases...:dork:

Rolph has a weakness!
Same as Toro and any card with SoA (I don't care if it's an Ulu or a Banger with 10 power).
Have you ever been beaten by a Stop card? It's not pretty, especially because she makes Striker a 3!
So Roots, GHEIST and SoA beware: Victoria is out to get you, with her best friend Nahomi.
She's only a 2 star and she can overpower Lyse Teria Cr.
So what about that pesky Yayoi? Overpowered.
What about Kristin? If you play right, you can completely overpower her.
Leviatonn, Glorg, Burdock: you're dead.
Ogoun Kyu... I'm sorry, you were already the worst card in the game, you even make power = opp power cards able to beat you because of your SoA.
Any other cards want to match up with her?

She beats Kiki Cr easily

Super underrated. Kills Platinum. Beats every SOA card in the game except ones with Ambre.
Great combo with Dean.

Should be at least 1000. Why are all good two stars either female (or C Wing)?

She can beat Lyse Teria Cr! Yayoi, Kristin,Leviatonn, Glorg, Burdock are finished. Even arguably the best card in the game Kiki Cr :*:

So what are you waiting for! I'm getting her now before her price goes wild!

Victoria.....ok negotiation time OVER!!!

Victoria is one of those severely underated cards because of a situational ability. Now keep in mind that mono-deck is where the La Junta really shine, the Fang Pi have much stronger counterparts for half decks!!!

Now if you happen to be making a La Junta mono deck you will find two things..1) There is a scary shortage of useable Dr's in the clan and 2) They don't sand up terribly well against SOA
Now people say 'oh but they have Arnie and Wardog and Ray who are solid 8 powered cards vs SOA, whilst this is true they don't shine vs SOA, they can simply 'pill tie' vs SOA cards....stuff like Quibik and Rico still cause all sorts of problems

This is where Victoria steps in, unlike Nahomi (who is your 3* card with an attitude to win) Victoria is your 2* throwaway card....does it overly matter if she ends up losing against Lehane or Flanagan for no pillz when you have Isatis and Ray backin you up? Didn't think so!

Against SOA Victoria demolishes, she was designed specifically to be the best...and that she is! Easily stomping on Wardom/Methane/Leviatonn and even Draheera, she is a sight to see for GHEIST/Roots and SOA ability cards alike

Now against her 2* competition? IMo she comes in second on the scale right behind Thormund.....she pretty much does Wardog's job but better (I never liked being forced to pill with Wardog) and Dean is too shaky to have alongside Isatis and Trish as SOA will just demolish the deck

Victoria is a card worth including in your deck, even if SOA only shows up once every 4 games, the satisfaction of having her when facing mono GHEIST is overwhelming!!

you trade 1 power for the chance of dropping 3 of your opponent's. In this case, less is more, and she is hands down better than Wardog. She matches Dean perfectly: if your opponent has SOA, she's a star. If he doesn't, time for the hairdresser to shine.

Victoria: 7/2
ability: stop: -3 opp. power, min. 1
bonus: damage +2
max level: 2

+ Great, solid stats.. as to be expected from a stop card.
+ SoA only makes her stronger. A LOT stronger. Victoria gains the ability Trish has when faced with SoA, which along with 7 power makes her impossible to stop (haha see what i did there? against STOP opp. ability she is impossible to STOP. yea im cool now!).
+ 4 damage is pretty nice. Chiro, Isatis, Gertrud, and many more have 2 hit combos with her.
+ 2 stars. not only does she 2HKO with those beasts, but she saves space for them in your elo or T1 deck.
+ common! yay saving clintz!

- competition. see below.
- such an awesome ability, but it only works against SoA. your opponent can easily dodge this unless he/she is running a GHEIST or Roots deck.
- SoB means Victoria has only 2 damage. not the greatest, however, it is acceptable for a 2 star i suppose...

Victora vs. other 2 star options in La Junta:
--> Thormund: in mono, 11 power is just too much to pass on. even if Victoria has her ability activated, she can only match a 9 power. however, his uber low damage is a major turn off...still due to the fact that SoA clans aren't quite what they used to be, edge thormund
--> Dean: worse minimum but it activates all the time. Victoria is obviously better against SoA and has one more solid power. and back to the minimum point, there aren't that many amazing elo cards with 6 or less power so you'll find the min on Dean to be not much of a problem at all (but it still exists like against a Robb Cr.. it's bad news). but once again, because victoria's ability is so hard to activate...i have to give edge: dean
--> Diego: well he's the best damn card in the game for god's sake! of course it's edge: victoria
--> Niki: even when her ability is going, she's still worse than Victoria. then we add in the SoA factor and it's not even a contest. edge: victoria
--> Wardog: both were made to counter SoA although Victoria does it better. however, Wardog has one more power giving him the maximum 8. versatility-wise, id have to go with him. But if you are on an SoA team week, Victoria is the better choice. it really comes down to knowing what you are going to face. do note though that the difference between 7 and 8 is much less than the significance of 7 vs 6, which makes it so tough to decide here. edge: even.
--> Winston: this is actually a very useful card that really make your opponent wonder what to do. 4(6 w fury) and damage reduces makes for a really decent and underrated card. unfortunately, his high min and low 6 power are major downfalls so i gotta give a very very slight edge: victoria

I really like this card. But because of the recent decline in SoA clans, i think that she won't get that much playing time. especially because there's Wardog and Dean. furthermore, Nahomi is very similar for one more star. If you do use Victoria, don't expect her ability to be activating all the time. Use her to scare your opponent from using his or her SoA when they go first and spring Chiro or Isatis for some heavy damage. Even though they will still probably dodge your stop card, you were able to force them to face your beasts without the SoA. Allows for a bit of mind gaming if you will. Ultimately, Victoria is a sold card worthy of your consideration.

Lets see here... Nahomi with 2 less damage, 1 less star, and in my opinion a slightly better ability.

-7 Power is great for a 2
-2 fine add 2 more and 4 is great for a 2.
-Ability KILLS SOA. You can control the game against SOA teams
-Again 2 stars is super cheap. Fit in that Ray or Naginata or Ed12
-Obviously good against SOA/All stops

-Competition is a HUGE con. Usually competition is good but lets see Thormund has potential 11 power... Wardog is still fine vs. soa and has an extra power, Dean is good against anyone without soa, and Winston is the only DR besides Jane Ramba. Who to choose?
-SOA teams are fading... where would you use her?
-SOB means only 2 damage? (Lehane also has that but look how good she is)

There are technically no REAL cons for this card. She is solid all around. But the problem is WHO do you use her over and WHEN do you use her? I think the best spot is in a DT. There are still some SOA's and she can take down 4/5 stars with SOA. If SOA teams ever get unbanned in elo she will definitely find a more permanent home. Until then she will still get some usage but not a ton.

she would cream a Kiki Cr bu u won't be facing a Kiki any time soon
