Ashiko...the drop bear

Drop bears are natively found in Australia. Often misunderstood, the drop bear tends to be a lazy and quiet creature. However when a passerby walks underneath their nesting tree, they tend to become quite defensive. The consequences for walking under a drop bears habitat can be quite painful, often resulting in multiple scratches if not death.
How to prepare yourself against a drop bear attack.
Firstly you should always carry a bottle of thongs (no not the underwear type, the ones on your feet). Thongs (aka pluggers or flip flops) can help to muffle the noise of a passerby as they walk around the drop bear zone. There should always be a coldie being held by the passerby as the smell of it muffles the human smell...and as we all know, drop bears are allergic to beer. Finally you should never, EVER mistake the drop bear zone for the hoop snake zone. All of the advice given here helps to repel drop bears but this also attracts hoop snakes.

How good is Ashiko? While everyone's debating over drop bear/koala issue, lets take a close look at this card and see its capability in bringing Jungo to a higher level in ELO.

Review for Ashiko(after using him for few battles)
Lets make this quick. SOA is something really pesky in UR. So, to counter it, we have STOP cards. Dacote,Adler.Greow etc, it's easy to name few good STOP cards but....is it really worthy to slot in a STOP cards just to counter SOA especially in ELO?

Askai or Adler? The choice is pretty obvious as star count is an important factor in forming a deck. Thus, most of the time, 4/5 star STOP cards are more like liabilities to players. STOP cards are not useless but come in handy if they are 2/3* like Karen and Janice as they don't take up much slots.

Reasons to pick Ashiko as your 1st or 2nd 2* when it comes to ELO:
1.You will now have a SOA Slayer at 2* which means more rooms for some big and dangerous cards. Bye bye,Greow.
2.Life gap...thanks to his clan bonus. 2 star and 3 life gap when there's no SOA, why not?
3.Base stats. 8 power. If Wanda is considered good in ELO, I don't see why Ashiko is not used often in ELO?
4.Rodney. Forget about Mindy if you really need att manipulation card. Since Ashiko is there, you can save more slots and fit in more 3/4 stars. Askai+Rodney+Nyema+Ashiko=Really powerful Jungo half deck for 13 stars.
5.Strategy. People love SOA because it screw your opponent most of the time. By having a small yet powerful STOP card like Ashiko with you, you slow/stop them from screwing you because your opponent would have to change his tactic/strategy so that his/her SOA card would not encounter your Ashiko. So don't ever say that STOP card is useless against opponent's hand who has only 1 SOA card.

Suggestion:
Easy. Hold this card till the last two rounds if there's 1 SOA card in your opponent's hand. He would either have to dispose the card ASAP or face this little assassin with his poor little SOA card. If there's more than 1 SOA card in his hand or he's using MONO GHEIST or Roots, CONGRATS to you. lol. If there's no SOA, no worries, he's still a 8/1 with+ 2life.

In a nutshell, try this card out in your Jungo mono/half deck. It's really good. Thanks for reading and have fun in UR.

Ashiko "The Cuddly Killer"

Pros:
-8/3 for a 2*
-Great for budgeting your deck
-Allows for some deceptively strategic gameplay

Cons
-Not the greatest in a half deck (imo)

If you really think about it, Ashiko is one of the most deadly in the Jungo tribe. Who doesn't want to cuddle with a cute little koala (or drop bear). Ninja's are all about deceiving, and that is precisely the role Ashiko fills.

Now all jokes aside, Ashiko is actualy a viable choice in my opinion. This is ESPECIALLY true for those weeks when there seems to be an endless sea of SoA. At the very least, Ashiko is a 8/3 2*. That really isn't bad at all. And I don't think your opponent usually realizes it. In fact, I have seen opponents attack first with an SoA card when I had Ashiko out. Why? Because he seems so unassuming. However, the last thing you want to do around Ashiko is let your guard down. He will make you pay dearly for it. Now your opponent has a 6 life gap to deal with and probably some more difficult cards they will have to face still in your hand since you are able to budget them due to your Ashiko making room.

However, it seems Ahiko only works well in mono Jungo. When you are making a Jungo half deck, you are typically looking for that life gap. While Ashiko has the potential to life gap amazingly for a 2*, it isn't trustworthy enough for high elo gameplay. Plus he is outshined by Jungo's other strong 2* like Pegh, Jean, and Mindy. In mono Jungo, Ashiko allows your to pick Rodney instead of Mindy since he skunks Mindy... At this time, I feel like some of the essential mono Jungo include Buba, Boohma, Pegh, and Jean. If you throw in Ashiko, you have 5 cards and only 13*. Throw in Ongh, Troompah, or Zornado (only Zornado if the other two are banned) and you still have 7* for those last two cards. Now it's just a matter of preference. Jungo's 3* lineup is stroooooong. Radek, Rodney, Scopica, Nyema or Gerald would be strong candidates here. For the 4* choice you can choose one of the Stop brothers (Greow or Scotty), Niva, or Psylo. Actually, Hopper Ld is another strong 4* choice that is commonly overlooked. Perhaps not. I may just be trying to justify working so hard to get her... BUT Buba, Boohma, Pegh, Jean, Ongh, Ashiko, Radek, and Hopper Ld would be a very intimidating deck to go against.

Basically, Ashiko is pretty cool. Play him whenever. Save him for the defense if the opponent has SoA. Play him to beat a high damage card. Be sneaky sneaky and make them think you are just throwing away a low damage card to try and make them burn pills and tear into them like a plate of eucalyptus leaves. I could go on and on, but I am gonna go ahead and go now. Good luck using Ashiko.

Yes, we're all impressed with that useless knowledge that has been passed around for YEARS. We ALL know that. But we still call them Koala Bears. And so does UR. Calling them by that name does not change what they are or this little guys backstory any.

So I got bored and decided to Google some UR characters. Most of them gave me the character until I typed in Ashiko.
An Ashiko is an African drum shaped like a truncated cone and is played with your bare hands. Interesting enough at this point I believed that Ashiko was just a drum but then I saw a tiny add for Ashiko Ninja Foot Spikes. I was life "WHAT?!?!?!".
These are spikes you put on your shoes that help you climb trees. Interesting right? Well in Ashiko's bio it says he watched Kinjo's classes in the sly, perhaps from a tree? And it says he ate the sacred eucalyptus leaves, meaning he would have to be skilled in climbing trees. I have about 4500 characters left, and this card is lacking a review... SO HERE I GO, A MULTI-STEP REVIEW!!
Step one: Pros vs Cons
Pros:
++ 8 power is awesome, especially for a 2*
+ Against SoA he makes a 6 life gap!
+ DR can't effect him at all
+ Only 2* leaving room for Troompah, and Ongh.
+ He laughs at Jeena, and Yookie!
Cons:
-- Ability is stop...
- 1 base damage
- SoB makes him useless
Step two: In clan comparison:
Elea- Both are stop, Elea helps her win, Ashiko does more although she has the extra damage I am giving it to Ashiko.
Pegh- Since he is defensive and one of the few DRs in Jungo he gets this one.
Wendy- They both make a 6 life gap when ability is activated. Although Ashiko has the extra power, Wendy has the extra damage. Still I am giving both .5.
Borss- Although Borss has the SoB it is hard to win with him due to the low power, so 1 for Ashiko.
Mindy- Well in my opinion Mindy is the best 2* in Jungo so I am giving her the point.
Somba- I don't like Somba nor do I think he is used by anyone other then beginners. So one for Ashiko.
So all in all 3.5 for Ashiko 2.5 for others. Anyone else think Jungo need some new 2*s?
Normally I would compare to other cards like him, but I really don't think there is anyone like him. (If the fact of +life)

People you must realise that his bonus is what makes him great.

Gaining 2 life means that dealing 1 damage is not that big of a issue,therefore he is awsome.

Think of him as a Junta,a 8/3 Stop:+3 damage sounds about GREAT doesnt it?

playable without soa Great vs soa,dont critisise him! buy him.

You dont whanna let +2 life pass through!

I'm wondering how Ashiko got a lightsaber. Did he sneak into the Votexe's time vortexes? Or did he use the same cuteness which got him adopted by Kusuri to get some Vortex to adopt him?

vs SOA:It means 8/6 with no damage reduction,which means Bristone, Yookie, Jeena and Arno are totally useless. This card is the most valuable guy when you face the gheists or Roots. Ashiko may take the place of Adler, Greow, Scotty and Scopica.
vs SOB:8P1D a wall is always not bad.
vs Damage Reductions:8 Power, 3 life gap and damage reductions is obviously very good for a 2*,too.

Ashiko- The Ninja Koala

Ashiko doesn't need a sword. Or a lightsaber for that matter. Who knows where he got that from!!! All he needs is his cuteness. Although his lightsaber is a good accessory . Sneaking into the Golden Mountain Monastery is not easy. And eating the Sacred Eucalyptus Leaves was no mean feat. But secretly attending Kinjo's Classes required absolutely amazing courage. But also, there are rumours going round that he stole his lightsaber from the Vortex!!! He's Lucky that he didnt get blasted 10,000 years into the future, let alone surviving!!! I must work out how they use those time vortexes. They would help. Anyway, Ashiko is very powerful and stealthy and i hope he will start teaching the rest of us how to be ninjas.
