r Carter

Released on Friday 09/09/11

Carter’s adolescence got off to a flying start. He was captain of the school football team and a hit with both the boys and the girls! But when he realized his skin could assume the toughness of any material he touched, he knew he'd be better off joining the Skeelz Academy. And he doesn’t regret it one bit, except that is when he has to take Anton's math tests...

"question:What happens if you have an all stop and Vholt?"

Kate will send you a private message saying, "How dare you!!" And then UR would go into random maintenance mode.

Student Number 819

Carter is an interesting boy. His power is similar to another one of my students, Jay. He has the ability to turn his skin's appearance and toughness into the likeness of any material he touches. He has several advantages over Jay, such as the possibility of having skin stronger than stone, and he's physically stronger. But unlike Jay, he needs a viable material on hand, while Jay can turn into stone at any point he wishes. Jay is also a bit smarter... and I'm not saying that to be mean. Carter is a nice boy. He's just dim. On more than one occasion, it seems he's had to be carted into Dwan's office after underestimating the task at hand. The answer to all problems is not always turn into something hard and charge at it. Well... not at Skeelz at least.

Carter used to go to East Clintz High (which, I have established, is a DUMP), and was a popular student. He was athletic, pretty good looking, and smart (for ECH's standards). But, like Anton, my stand-in Greem was forced to wrench him away from their grasp as soon as he started showing signs of his power. Not just to have him here either, we needed to protect him. Without proper control of his power, he might accidentally grab something like, lets say a tissue, and take on it's properties. He'd crumple on the spot. No more Carter. Scary isn't it. And with his level of intelligence, we couldn't have gotten there sooner.

Carter's been doing his best at Skeelz, and he genuinely cares about his studies (Combat Classes, especially. He excels at ramming several students at a time into a wall). The only thing he regrets about moving into the academy is having to have classes with Dr. Anton again. He thought he wouldn't have to worry about the strict teacher ever again. Fortunately for him, Aylen enjoys spouting out the answers as much as always and allows him to catch on without having an aneurysm.

I'll have to cut this off now. Appropriately, I've just been informed that Carter has succeeded in putting Corvus and Praxie in casts. He's a strong kid. He just needs to learn how to control his power, and himself.

Yo, dawg. I heard you like Protection, so we put a Protection on your Protection so you can protect while you protect.

He is the Skeelz counterpart of the X-Men's Colossus. :*:

1* 2/1
2* 3/2
3* 5/4
4* 7/6 Ability: Protection Damage

-His damage cannot be reduced at all. Period. All Stops? Nope. Roots DR? lolwut? Uranus? Psh, wrong planet bub.
-Since your opponent can't just whip out a DR and laugh, he makes a pretty decent bluff.
-7/6 is pretty solid stats in general for a 4*.
-Great GREAT art! I was wondering when the Skeelz jock/football player would come. In the eyes of a gay man (like me), he's pretty sexy. He's a hit with both the girls AND the boys so that tells you something lol.
-His price is bound to Tank.

-In most cases, Carter doesn't have an ability. Therefore alot of the time he's just a 7/6 nothing.
-He has competition among his 4* classmates. He even has competition among the 3*'s as well as Praxie and Zeke do relatively the same thing.
-While his 7 power is nice, it's unaided. Therefore he will have to rely on that 7 power alone to win. Attack Manip/Power Manip clans will have the edge, but alot of Skeelz (especially their 4*'s bar Belgosi (and arguably Corvus)) are weak to these so it's nothing new.
-Pretty lackluster for a Rare card if you ask me.

Which 4* Skeelz should I use?
@Jay = While Jay can have a potential of 9 damage, the player would have to lose the prior round in order to achieve that. It is also hampered by DR's as well. To his favor though, Jay could make a really good bluff in conjunction with his revenge ability. It is 9 damage we're talking about. Still though as far as solidness and practicality is concerned. Carter > Jay

@Manfred = Manfred wins in the power department, that's for sure. However, his ability is confidence based. Unlike Carter, Manfred is weakened by DR's. To his favor though, this only applies when his confidence ability is up. In all other cases without it, Manfred would have low damage anyway so it wouldn't matter much. If you're one who favors overall solidness without the situational abilities added, then Carter > Manfred. On the flipside, if your well adapted using confidence based abilities like Manfred's then Manfred (in essence) could be better for you. Manfred CAN inflict an 8 (12 w/ fury) life gap with his confidence ability.

@Greem = This one totally depends on your deck composition. If you have alot of DR's or +life abilities in your deck, then Greem is better without a doubt.

@Corvus = Corvus is a wall; plain and simple. I'd recommend him over Carter ONLY if your the type of player who prefers utilizing offense as your defense, and is accustomed to that style of play as well.

@Belgosi = Belgosi's ability helps him win. Carter's does not, but can't be effected by DR's. Belgosi's ability would be active regardless if you're facing DR's or not, thus as far as solidness is concerned, Belgosi > Carter.

@Praxie & Zeke = While these 2 aren't even 4*'s, they share alot of the strengths Carter does for 1 less star. For Carter's favor, he can fury for 8 damage that CAN'T be DR's, while Praxie/Zeke are susceptible to them if you decide to fury. Still though that isn't really enough to warrant him being better than them. Praxie is essentially an 8/4 when up against DR's and Zeke is a 7/6 (the exact same as Carter) when up against anything bar minimum 1 DR's. or if his abilities min. is reached. For space saving purposes, Praxie & Zeke > Carter.

@Aigwon = Sure Aigwon has SOA, but he only has 6 power. For defensive purposes, Aigwon is slightly better (He can negate most poison/life gap abilities). There's also that low chance that you may face a low power power manip card (I.E. Copper, Tula, Oshitsune) but it is very very rare. For every other circumstance, Carter > Aigwon.

@Aigwon Noel = SOB: Courage helps when facing against Attack/Manip clans, but he has 6 power so it wouldn't matter anyway. Most of the time though, Aigwon Noel is a 6/6 nothing; thus Carter is easily better than Mr. Christmas Tree. Carter > Aigwon Noel.

Overall Score: 6.75/10. Possible 7/10. He would've been much better if he had Protection: Power & Damage or even Protection: Attack & Damage.

Skeelz are a wonderful clan..they have a unique bonus(along with Jungo,Berzerk and All Stars)
the problem:while most of the times they have their ability protected they dont have something useful to aid in victory like a cool attack manipulation(+8 or +12):*::cool:
thats why Carter isn't what they need..not only he has problem with attack manipulation but he also has competition with other life drain cards..(for instant Praxie:better power and has also his whole damage protected)
rate green so everyone is going to see that!!

Carter's Mission - Inflict 150 Damage, Reward = 100 Clintz .

protection damage really isn't that good guys i mean sure he will shrug off crap like Uranus and Jeena, but it still doesn't mean he can't do less damage i mean if i'm your opponent and i use Daqun i will pill 0 and make you pill one plus my defeat plus 3 life means Carter is only doing 3 damage (5 with fury) at the end of the day and the same will go for other characters with defeat plus life too just look at other cheap card like Kusuri or even Wonald it works like a dr and it doesn't get hurt by things like protection damage please rate green so others can see.
