From now on, you can play Deathmatch mode in Standard format; the rules and wins will be the same as in Extended format (to find out more about Standard format, click here). And, given the low number of players in Extended 25, we have decided to remove it from the list of formats available in Deathmatch mode. Finally, we have also decided to ban Ambre in Standard format and this will apply to all the different game modes. Happy gaming to you all!
If you are so desperate to use Ambre and your playing style requires her in your deck, then it is a sure sign that you need to work on your playing skills. Put her in your deck and go to the Fight Club where you can play her to your hearts content without penalties. Go ahead and use 7 Jackie Cr's, or 7 Hawk's, with her and enjoy a virtually certain win with 2 hits. Have a blast.
If not then suck it up and learn to play without her. You might even learn a thing or two.
Using leaders (especially Ambre) is not needed in the least way in order to win.

And actually, it's still pretty viable to use Ambre in Extended DT if you're just aiming for the 1/3 spot and you're starting at the 30 minute of a tourney. So yeah, Ambre will still be quite a shadow. And on the "plus" side the other leaders are making quite a comeback in Standard. If there's an "easy" way to win, people will use it.
"if there's an "easy" way to win, people will use it."
Very true.
And yet how sad at the same time.
To think that "Honor" used to be understood and respected, and now it's meaning and value have been lost to >80% of our cultures and peoples
