For the time being, the duel mode is available in Beta. We are planning to keep a close eye on what happens in terms of results (number of players, number of games, impact on the market, etc.) and will then make a decision about whether to keep it, amend it or simply get rid of it.
true enough, prolly cause Kate's 1st card 10 pillz wasn't game winning material
mind though that rules are rules and it's weird playing 2 3 stars a 4 and 5 versus 4 5stars and having to go first
at least the 10 pillz power move has gone to the second round
@tgh02: "Finally, Duel encourages Bad Behaviour. For example, many players check daily Duel to determine if the 1st card is worth winning. Then afterward, they check again if the second card is worth playing 10 wins. Consequently, many players are abandoning their matches - forfeit is the worst behaviour on UR."
I don't understand how these are related? I judge whether to continue in Duel mode for the day after the first card based on how much it's worth. I never quit matches. Why would I be prone to doing so?
The answer is simply because of Kate always going first in the first implementation. They might be working on a fix to make it random + following Strike Back, but I for one prefer going first. It lets me determine which round Kate will 10pill. If I play Ahkab first, Kate always high-pills (or low-med pillz DR, or SoA with ~8 pillz). If Kate went first I wouldn't have this sort of surety.
