Ability: Copy: Opp. Ability
Bonus: Protection: Ability
Bio: While being the shining light of the Skeelz for about 200 years, he has watched as everyone else has seen all the adventure so he decided that its his turn fight against other clans especially the Junkz for they have rejected him because he didn't share the great extent of wanting music as they did, but thanks to Sferik he fell in love, the one Junkz he wont go after!
I find Copy: Opp Ability to be an interesting, but unstable concept. More often than not, your card's bonus and your Opp's will dictate the match. Placing it in Skeelz is a good way to test the water, but it would quickly be discarded in favor of other clans' copies (like Lorna), specifically attack/power clans.
VS attack abilities and +power : The two cards base power is key to this match-up with bonus helping.
VS post-round abilities (damage/pillz/life) : Power and Bonus rule this match.
VS Backlash and Defeat abilities : You may not even WANT to win.
VS Stop : Best case scenario (non-Skeelz), you only copy Mini-Mund. Worst case, even he is immune.
VS -power : Most, but not all, cards with this ability are already close to their minimums.
VS No Ability/Underleveled/Leader/SoA : You copy nothing.
VS SoB : You even the odds, now it's purely power and pillz.
VS Power=Opp Power : They steal your good power and give you their (typically low) power.
VS Copy: Bonus : I've already written about the possibilites of this match-up earlier in the thread.
VS Protection : Only the All Stars and Pussycats would care.
VS Courage, Confidence, and Revenge : Only one of you will get the ability and that's probably your opponent.
VS GHEIST and Roots : Only the Skeelz copy would do much. All the others only have a possibility of coping the aforementioned Mini-Mund.
Wow, I depressed myself. Copy: Ability Opp is a really cool idea, but it just won't work.
Imho copy opp ability is so cool that it would be hard to balance it out properly...
imagine a 7/4 4* Skeelz copying kenny or Kolos... >.>
at the same time, at the other end of the spectrum is basically a 7/4 card that doesn't really do anything...
sure we can give it exclusively to 5* cards, but it would still be hard to prepare the proper base stats... because otherwise that would just be a barely usable card...
basically, giving it low power would simply render it useless against power and atk manip clans, so perhaps it could be something like Ozzy? 7/1? but then again there are rarely any 6 damage abilities... perhaps 7/3 then? but even then Ozzy has SOB vs them atk and power manip clans... so perhaps 8/2? hahah well i guess we'll just have to flesh it out and hopefully find an acceptable range of combinations...
The problem with Copy: Opp Ability is that your opponent will have a say as to what you can copy.
Sample Montana hand: Edd Cr, Mona, Moses, Spiaghi
Your opponent will know that Moses is your best copy, if your mono. Edd Cr's courage means he can prevent you from using his own SoB against him, Mona's power manipulation can be thrown back in her face, but her ability bonus combo can still wreck you, and Spiaghi already has one damage, so your opponent has plenty of ways to dance around your copy card.
Copy: Opp Ability and Bonus
How about this? Considering how unstable and unpredictable abilities can be, giving the card it's opp bonus helps it stay even.
With the above sample, Edd Cr and Spiaghi are still your opponent's best to thwart you, but Mona goes from risk to easy win. Moses is still your prefered target.
Emb W Bam
4* La Junta
Support: Copy Ability
Super unstable card. +20 power against Copper. Defeat: -8 Opp Pillz, Min 3 against Neil.
On the other hand, Backlash: -8 Life, Min 2 against Cortez. -16 power, Min 4 against Tobbie (base power 4).
Yeah, all the things I said above still apply, but with greater rewards IF your opponent allows it.
With the sample again, Edd Cr and Spiaghi continue to block, Mona becomes a 4 power card, easy to beat even with her bonus, and Moses remains the spotlight (-16 Opp Life, Min 1).
I've thought about this topic for some time... CoB is similar in terms of gameplay impact as SoB. CoA would be similar in terms of gameplay impact as SoA, except generally less flexible -- it would almost always be an offensive ability, with little in the way of defensive functions, and it would not allow you to penetrate through DR. In almost every case, SoA is just better.
I've been re-watching this show.
In every generation, a Basher is born. Well, unless they die, in which case a new once is immediately called. Anyway. This tiny blonde uses superhuman strength to bash ghouls, vampires, ghosts, and basically anyone who would perpetrate evil among the innocent. Ielena in particular is not too keen on this new arrival to Clint City...
Lvl. 5 5/4 Power and Damage +4
Though he's pushing a hundred and Fifty, Sever is not your grandfather's vampire-- this bloodthirsty fiend is equally comfortable in a dark crypt, at a Junkz rave, or knocking back a few drinks at Borgia's Palace. Sever tolerates Ielena's leadership for now, but his mind drifts ever towards dissent...
Lvl. 4 8/6 Backlash: -2 life, min 3
