If you own an Android phone and you are eagerly waiting for the Urban Rivals app, you'll be happy to know that we just release the first dedicated version of the game in the Android Market!
Just search for it and you shall find it smiley

It's the same version as the web game, but packaged as an installable self-contained mobile app, optimized for mobile (bigger buttons etc..) and with some added features like an integrated shop, and ways to buy credits directly inside the app, a cache system for images etc..
We support purchase thru text message, debit/card with Zong and free credits by downloading other games/apps with Tapjoy (like we used to have on the iphone until Apple decided otherwise).

It needs an Android handset capable of supporting Adobe Air (basically: flash), you can find a list there: but i'm not sure how often they update it.

We hope you'll like this app and that it will work flawlessly on your favorite Android device.

Kool, thanks Fraggle.
But my worry stemmed from the suspicion whether it was a OS issue, but your post, and Selina's personal clarification has alleviated that.
Much obliged!

Noooo... the HTC Aria isn't listed.... smileysmiley I won't be able to use my sis' phone for free creds... assuming free creds are available on android smiley eh c'est la vie.
Thanks for the video ads for creds UR! Definitely compensates iphone's lack of tapjoy. However, I would like to recommend perhaps having more credits rewarded for longer advertisements. like 1 per minute? if you watch a 4:44 long ad, then you get 4 credits. but if its a :25 ad you get one. and so on. I'm happy with what we've got, so i'd rather leave it the way it is than have it taken away. so thanks having UR well kept UR admins!

New finding!
I could find and install the app in my Galaxy S II, but I couldn't find it in the app market on my Galaxy tab, but then I followed the instructions given to me by the techwiz, Selina-OC smiley and got the error message on my tab (which is in Fraggle's list of flash certified devices) that says 'This program cannot run on your PT-1010'.
Many other flash base programs, and flash itself, runs beautifully on my poor tab, but the much awaited UR app, no.
Oh well, you can't have everything. I will use the phone one, c'est la vie smiley

@Th3 0nly 0n3:
All phones might not be listed on adobe page, you might want to try.
Also, we are not the one who picked wich video ads will play and how much it reward... it's up to our partner (sponsorpay).

It seems there are some install issue for tablet, we're looking into it.

Thank you Fraggle.
That would be very nice since a lot of our players are on android devices, and there's a sizeable amount that purchased the Galaxy tab when it was first released. Not just that, ensuring compatability will enhance the stature and credibility of our beautiful game.
@Th3 0nly 0n3: There is an issue with HTC Aria, which many people including XC-Sting, have reported. Maybe worth asking the tech people have a look as well because, again, Aria is a popular phone smiley
Also I am quoting Selina-OC here verbatim in the hope that this may help..
It did help me in finding the app, though I couldn't install it on the tab.
any tab will work if it downloads ; First download this ->
Then ->
Or if these doesnt work..
Try ->
The last link really worked, because just like Selina thought, but didn't say, I am a tech noob and needed a bit of simplification smiley

Working fine so far on HTC Desire, it feels the same as the browser version on full screen, the combat is quite enjoyable but I miss more sorting options in the collection tab, like sorting by highest level, or having more characters on the page

I sometimes prefer, when playing on the phone, to use a multi-tabbed browser because it's easier to see the collection cards, and also have access to the forums.

Also in the collection tab, the drop down menu with the decks has a very small slider and it's pretty hard to select the desired deck

So, even if forum access may be too hard to implement, and it would probably be worse than simple browser access, my biggest issue is with the collection screen, if I had easier access and better visibility and sorting options it would be a lot more enjoyable.

On the other hand, the combat screen with all the options available is very good.
I had played, and enjoyed, UR on my phone even back 5-6 years ago when we had the java version and I've been looking forward for a dedicated android app, great job and I can't wait for more improvements smiley

HTC G2 working fine, a bit different than the ipod/iphone app i see but it's more like the .com playability which i like more, you can transfer between your tasks and windows easily and come back to play in time, only problem is distraction causing time outs lol.

been waiting for this a long time and i know i've bugged you since the apple app came out about making an android app but it's been well worth the wait and thank you so much smiley
