From time to time, as the game expands and the needs of the players increase, it becomes necessary for the administration staff to seek out dedicated players with excellent language skills, and a strong spirit of volunteerism. Failing our ability to find anyone who meets those criteria, we then look for people with a history for taking a lot of abuse. ;-]
It is my distinct privilege to welcome the newest member of the Moderator Team for the English community: Commoner-LoA
! Many of you have had cause to talk with him through events, both as an organizer and an opponent. He has a keen nose for smelling when your remaining damage reducers aren't going to overcome a poison throw, and a ready ear for requests of assistance.
Please join me in welcoming Commoner-LoA to the team. He has a lot to get used to in the first couple weeks, so please... Go easy on him. (Ha! Just kidding. Send him your spam!!) There are a few notes to remember, and I'll plagiarize Mermaid to post them:
1. Do not ask to become a moderator. Admins seek out people when they see the need. The best people for the job are usually the ones who would never seek it out. (Paraphrased from Plato.)
2. People are not selected because of level, guild, events or any other criteria. They are selected because they have stood out as outstanding. (Sometimes in left field, but out-standing, nonetheless.)
3. There are no set criteria for the moderator position. It's often boring, tedious work with little thanks, and no awesome super-powers. Really. See the first two notes above.
4. Being a moderator does not make you a programmer. We are players who volunteer, not admins who work for the game. We don't make cards, make clintz, see how many pillz you use in a battle, give out free cards like candy, or bend spoons with out mind. (Well, except Slava N on that last one. And let me tell you, it's a great party trick.)
Any questions or comments, send them to Commoner! Other than that, please feel free to welcome him below. ;-D
With congratulations and regards,
