u Quasichoco

Released on Friday 30/11/12

If there’s one thing Baldovino can’t bear, it’s pretty assistants who sooner or later end up leaving him for tin pot Apollos. So he thought he’d stumbled on a real treasure when he retrieved Quasichoco from the Old Quarter in Balgenheim. But unfortunately he could only make him work if he plied him with chocolate which ended up being far too expensive. So finally, Quasichoco cut him a deal. If he gave him all the chocolate he wanted, in exchange he would happily be chained up in a cage at the entrance to the big top where the public could revel in his gargantuan greed.

Quasichoco ( an ELO perspective)
7:Power| 4:Damage
Bonus: Poison 2 min 3| Ability: -2 Opp. Dmg. min 1

Good bits
-A solid 7 power for a Damage reducer.
-A 4 (6 with fury) damage that can be used when necessary. (e.g: FINISHING SHOT!)
-With poison for Bonus your opponent might want to invest more pills than usual, but then again -2 damage for them.
-DR's are annoying especially with Poison cards and Life Gaining cards. Fist Bump Wonald*. :*:
-"The Inverted Muze", but higher min. poison.

-With Olga perma ban in ELO, this card bags the 3* spot. Akendram has his attack manipulation to help him with his offense but he isn't really that much of a wall when played defensively. While Freaks players take pride on not playing too defensively Quasicohos' got your back when you need a damage cushion. Boris, Olga Noel and Titus win by over powering their opponent but then SOA weakens them greatly, Mira on the other hand needs activation to be effective. Piotr and Varoslav are kinda pointless vs SOA. Against SOA Quasichoco is 7/4 (6 with FURY) Poisoner, versus SOB he is a good Damage reducer. SOA/SOB COME AT ME Glorg and Leviaton! (Burdock needs 1 pill to beat him because of star count).

Quasichoco Review

Power 7
Damage 4
Ability -2 Opp Damage min 1
Bonus Posion 2, Min 3
Stars 3

Good damage Reduction for a 3 star
1 star less than Wolfgang so if you need that extra star sacrifice your Dr a little bit and you have your replacement with Quasichoco
Or if you are using Wonald add a star and now you can protect yourself from a potential KO instead of just restoring you life
When your main method of winning is through poison prolonging the battle will make it easier to win

Offensively outclassed by quit a few 3 stars
3 star competition isn't really big on defense however when you have cards like Olga, Olga Noel, Piotr, Baroslav its harder to recommend this card

Review 8/10
In a Poison deck if you can prolong a battle you have a better chance of winning and that is what this card is for. Getting the poison out will be hard with this card but a round with Quasichoco means that your opp loses 2 life (assuming you have Freaks poison present) and your opp's damage is reduced by 2 not a bad round in my book.

Versatile, is what makes him so good and when using Freaks, versatile is what you want.
Damage reduction is versatile!
Combined with his stats, this is what makes Quasichoco stand out from his competition.
Offensively opponent's won't usually want to use many pillz if they're damage is being reduced.
If you do win, note that Quasichoco has 4 base damage.
Of course that's not exactly a high amount of damage, but it is more than most of the other 3 star Freaks.
Defensively on the other hand, you don't take as much damage by your opponent.
This is always good, but especially helpful when prelonging the battle when using Freaks and their poison.

SOA hurts Freaks and Quasichoco is no exception.
However, when against SOA, he is better offensively than most of his 3 star competition, except from Mira.
Let's look at his competition;

Doesn't replace
-Olga; She is your staple 3 star card, she should be your first choice in a type 1 Freaks deck, end of story.

-Karmov & Piotr; better against damage reducers and can make 1 more of a life difference.
Quasichoco does have 1 less damage, however he ALSO has damage reduction, which makes him more versatile.
-Akendram, Ironfield, Olga Noel and Varoslav; Can all be potentially better when used offensively, however again Quasichoco can be used better defensively.

Bikini Joe Ld; better against SOB, but does less damage and is not much use once you have hit your poison and less effective in half decks
Mira; her ability won't be activated most battles and she is especially weak against SOB, Quasichoco is much more useful.
Zoltan; Quasichoco has better stats except 1 less damage reduction but a better min, Quasichoco is overall better.
Titus; Risky 8 power, Quasichoco has 7 not so risky power, the same damage PLUS damage reduction.

So apart from Olga, he doesn't have too much competition as it depends on your playing style.
If your aggressive and not scared of SOA, then maybe Piotr and/or Akendram are better choices.
In my eyes, the only bad thing about him is that he isn't better than Olga and that he isn't clearly better than his competition.
However, if you like to be versatile (like me) and add some more strategy to your deck, Quasichoco is your choice!
