u Kephren

Released on Friday 06/09/13

The Skeelz professor of ancient magic is far from accommodating, demanding full attendance from his students as well as impeccable manners. And woe betide anyone who tries to step out of line with Kephren as he’ll release from his Book of the Dead ancient gods who’ll be sure to punish the impudent child in a manner they won't forget. An hour of detention with Horus and an hour in the kingdom of the dead with Anubis work wonders on a rebellious child!

If anyone cares, I looked it up and it seems Kephren is probably named after the fourth-dynasty pharaoh Khafre (Chefren).

Kephren "The guy that looks like the main character from Despicable Me"
Power: 8
Damage: 5
Ability: Courage: -4 Opponent's Damage, Minimum 2
Bonus: Protection: Ability
A very solid 8 Power card. He's like the buffed out version of Redra with +2 Stars, +2 Power, +3 Damage, +1 -1 Opponent's Damage, and insert the "Courage" ability. I'd use this card with Dr Frankenstein.

I wonder if this mean that new characters might start majoring in his class?

8/5 - Courage: -4 Opp Damage, min 2

-8 Power is always welcome in a clan with no attack/power modifiers.
-5 Damage isn't nothing to sneeze at either.
-Ability can reduce a Hefty chunk of damage from the opponent, and more reliable than say Deebler's.
-4*, able to fit in a lot of decks.
-Dat Artwork, loving ya Ples001.

-Competition. Dr. Falkenstein, Belgosi and Jay(but who really uses him lol) will compete for a spot in your Skeelz deck, where's in Mono you'd want Falkenstein but in Half you might want to go for Belgosi instead of Kephren.
-Courage based ability makes him predictable and your opponent might send some DR Fodder to deal with him.

Score: 8.5/10
I think this card opens up a lot of new posibilities for Skeelz, you had to rely for Redra in your ELO Deck and you wouldn't always draw her, plus his stats are incredible for a 4* card. If you want a more attacking card however, I'd recommend Dr. Falkenstein and Belgosi over him.

he looks like Gru from Dispicable me.

Kephren is a true diamond in the rough.
In a clan that already had Xingshu (who is likely to be ELO banned nearly constantly), Manfred, Belgosi and Dr Falkenstein for their 4 stars, getting noticed is very hard.

However, as we mentioned Xingshu is probably gonna be banned in ELO for a long time.
Manfred is very predictable, and nearly always relies on his ability to have a serious impact. I mean 4 damage on its own is nice, but 4 damage isnt something for which you would put a 4* in your deck.
Dr Falkenstein and Belgosi are solid all around, i cant say anything about them.

But what Kephren gives you, is a huge amount of mind games.
His Courage based ability makes him seem predictable, but it only adds to the game.
Will you play him first with no pillz, or are you planning to get that 5 damage.
Will you play him as a good old 8/5 in reprisal to your opponent. You might even pill him hard when you have courage, and then if you lose, your opponent does barely any damage.
Kephren is also a rarely seen card,so (although unlikely) there is a chance that your opponent simply never played against if before and doesnt quite know how to deal with it.

On top of all that. add the fact that hes super cheap, and you have a fantastic card that will never be a terrible choice.
