c Ironfield

Released on Friday 03/08/07

Hiding birds up his sleeves and making them magically appear used to be David Ironfield's favorite trick, until one day he received a mysterious piece of antique furniture. He decided to use it to build his own magic trunk much to the delight of the Freaks, who love his new invention!

First development of the 3 of this character’s different developments:

    7Damage = Damage Opp.
    2Poison 2, Min 3

Ability of Ironfield:

Damage = Damage Opp.

Ironfield has the same number of Damage points as their opponent. This number only takes into account the figure shown on the opponent’s card and does not include changes related to an Ability, Bonus or Fury. If the Ability is blocked, Ironfield’s Damage is that shown on their card.

Poison 2, Min 3

If Freaks wins the round, at the end of each of the following turns the opponent will lose 2 Life point(s) if he/she has more than 3 Life point(s). If the opponent has 3 or less Life point(s), the poison effect is not triggered.

At level 3 He's 7/2 with the ability of 'Damage = Opp. Damage'

This is one of those 'gamble' cards, that is MUCH better being played second in the round.

The good thing about him is he has 7 Power, which is a nice solid backup...so if you're facing someone with alot of damage, he can win the match. (And if he doesn't, he gets that nifty poison from the clan.)

The downside? Stop Opp. Ability will put him at a measly 2 damage, and if you use it against someone with 1 damage (Which would be weird), then he'll only do 1 damage.

Other then that, he's a good 3 star fill in, and can be used pretty strategically. Definetly check him out when considering a freak's deck.

Also, his card art is pretty damn cool!

A nice, cheap 3* filler in any Freaks deck. The only issue MIGHT be his ability being damage=damage of opponent, which always gives me a jump ( I confuse damage with power) when I first see it. But seeing as he has one of the lower amount of damage around, he should work. Also, for those concerned with SoA, if they can't hit you, they can't damage you. It doesn't matter as much how hard you hit, as long as only you hit.

-Great power of 7. On a 3 star? Even better!
-Damage=damage opp gives a potential 8 damage. Against Don, he becomes a 7/8, just at 3 stars!
-Even though he has low damage when hit by SOA, he has the clan bonus to poison
-Nice art, cheap and 3 star

-Lehane is a pain
-So is Glorg and Leviatonn

overall: 7/10
Great card. High power and potentially high damage. But a lot of other better 3 star Freaks. Olga, Olga Noel, Akendram, Mira, Piotr and possibly Titus. These are all better 3 star Freaks. Freaks have one of the best collections of 3 stars.

This is a pretty decent starter card but the Freaks has better. Some examples are Wolfgang, Piotr, Grudj, Olga, Pyro and so on...

I have a newfound respect for this card. Perfectly playable. He creates all kinds of mindgames. Play him first with 2-3 pills and you can easily win a match. Why? One of 2 things will happen. First they think you high pill and then they 0-2 pill to cover a bluff possibly. You are then free to win in any other round you choose (3 or 4 likely). Or they will use their big hitter and overpill to make sure it will go through. Just make sure you cover well (obviously dont 2 pill vs Boohma) vastly underrated card.

3 stars, 7/2, Dmg = Dmg opp, Freaks poison

- High power to sustain his ability
- Low base damage means more profit from enemies´ damage
- Can take opponent by surprise, if not taken care of.

- Highly vulnerable, but not useless, against SOA
- Dependant of enemies´ damage output

A very nice addition to any Freaks deck. Because it´s 3 stars, can be applied for ELO without many problems and it has a high power for just 3 stars. Aside from Crassus and Erpeto, he´s your best choice when trying to put some more damage in that final round or when the poison just isn´t necessary. But then again, sometimes, you just need the poison to go through and Ironfield has enough power for that, even SOA´d. Give this card a chance when you consider a Freaks deck and you won´t regret.
