Because his parents are incredibly rich, Stanford has the run of the school. And what Stanford likes best is to tyrannize the other kids until they crack. As a result, the school principle has opened a psychological unit to counsel the victims of the little monster – all financed by Stanford's parents, of course!

As the crème-de-la-crème of the jet-set, the Uppers rule the night. They’ve got it all, and money, champagne and titles are certainly not in short supply. They generally dislike everyone but they particularly despise “the poor who just aren’t the teeniest bit funky”. The Uppers hope that the government will finally take steps to banish ugly people once and for all.

Ooh, Stanford is quite the pun, if you're well educated in psychology. He's based on the Stanford Prison Experiment, an experiment where students were made to role play as either prison guards or prisoners, and the guards really tyrannized the prisoners, forcing them to do embarrassing things and making them crack under the pressure. After it was over, all of the students who took part were sent to a psychologist for therapy. Quite the clever, hidden pun, Urban Rivals!

In the description of Stanford, principle should be spelled Principal, eh?

Stanford, a decent 3 star for your beginner players with a low budget. Good pop with 5 damage and can potentially match power for power. Unfortunately, there are many clans and specific cards that can hurt him. All-Stars, Bangers, Ulu Watu, GHEIST, and Roots to name a few.

They will alter or cancel his abilitly making him just good enough for the beginner level. Don't take him for any joy rides past lvl 15 though, he'll get steamrolled these days. Only 400 more clintz before Wendel. A much more solid pick up.

Lv.1 2 Power 1 Damage
Lv.2 2 Power 3 Damage
Lv.3 4 Power 5 Damage

- This card is actualy quite good with his bonus and ability he can generaly overpower bluffs
- A Decent 5 Damage taking a nice chuck from your opponent
- 3 Stars
- Can be a decent card at Lv 2

- He is up against some very good 3* and 2* cards
- His power is unstable
- Ability quite useless against Power Bonuses

A Good cheap card for begginers but people with more money are more likely to go for Zatman or Rubie and Wendel for 2 Stars

Power 5/10
Damage 7/10
Ability 7/10
Total = 7/10

1* 2power 1damage Ability at lvl 2
2* 2power 3damage power = power opp
3* 4power 5damage power = power opp

My opinion
I like this card very much (unlike most people), mainly because of his 2* level, not much use for me at 3* as I replace him almost instantly with rubie(ELO) or Zatman(Type1) he may have use to you at this level but, thats you.
People may prefer Jonas instead of 2* Stanford, but I like stanford because I feel, although power = power opp is shaky, that he is more stable than jonas, against SOA, no, but I like my cards to be usable during every round.

He may not apeal to you, but to me, he is deadly.

Art = 7/10 not bad.
Stats = 5/10 for 3* 8/10 for 2*
Ability = 6/10

Avg rating
3* 5.5/10
2* 7/10

Why does everyone keep knocking him? That ability is good with the Uppers bonus. In ELO you'll never need more pillz than your opponent (except for special cases of course) and 5 damage isn't useless. Remember only 7 more and it's a K.O.

Tuesday 01/07/2008, 20:02

An incredible strikeback card. It can utterly stun your opponent with its ability if you dose your pillz correctly. And his damage is great, also, considering his price.

Overall, a 4/5 card with a Power = Opp Power bonus at level 3, he's a great filler for an Uppers deck.
Considering the bonus, he can well overpower cards that are much stronger than him with fewer pillz.

Sneaky and violent, just as his description suggests, this guy can really bully your opponent when he least expects it.
