Random comment, probably has nothing to do with urban rivals... I hope to get whipped by her at her level 4 art :madeup:

Oh, my poor Cassandra. See how you have fallen.

Cassandra used to be everything the Freaks had. You wanted a 5* card for a mono Freaks deck? You used Cassandra. Your only other alternatives were Eve and Oren, unless you could afford Splata Cr, and neither of those rose to Cassandra's prominence. A good question to ask here, though, is why that was.

The Freaks have really evolved over the past few years. The typical Freaks deck usually followed a template of Mira, Boris, Harleen, Hula, Cassandra, Maciej or Grudj, Olga, and Olga Noel or Ironfield, with some notable exceptions. You'll notice something strange in there: All those cards are focused on power and dealing as much damage as possible. Though Hula is a poisoner, the name of the game was quick KO-ing, not siege warfare. The cards just didn't exist for that. Sure, Wolfgang, Soushee and Zoltan were around, but Zoltan and Soushee have a minimum of 3 and building a deck around one usable DR isn't a great plan. So the Freaks were played as a generic clan.

In my mind, Baldovino changed all that. The goal started to shift from the quick knockout to the slow poison death, because Freaks were able to do pill control better than many other clans. The poison really became part of the strategy again. Now you'll never play an opponent who doesn't start the match with a six pilled Grudj followed by Quasichoco. These days Oren is a valid 5* if you even bother using one, giving you the little boost needed to outlast your opponent. Baldovino made these strategies commonplace by pointing out that, when put to the test, the Freaks could control a game as well as the Piranas. And with these new ideas came the era of waiting patiently, and out went the era of high damaging cards.

Unfortunately, this new focus on sieging over KOing has left Cassandra with no place to play, a remnant of an old time gone past. I find it amazing to think about, that a card with the maximum power and one away from having the maximum damage is now underused in her own clan. Every so often I'll play a round or two with Cassandra, for my own little nostalgia. But in the end I always put her away for Baldovino, for Maciej and Grudj, for Oren. And every time I do, I look at Cassandra and think a little about just how far she's fallen.

- I'm a big fan of the power
- Damage is pretty legit
- If win, then you get to poison ur opp.
- One of the most solid lvl 5 the Freaks have
- *roar*...

- no ability
- takes up space for ELO
- Competition for the #1 lvl 5 spot, really cant see her there
- I dont think it matters but if you like to poison w/ her an SOB takes away that ify

Overall: She has her solid going for her big time but take a look a competition for lvl 5 in the Freaks. I think Baldovino has her beat because he's cheaper and has a great pill ability. All that, makes up for Baldovino having one less dmg then her. Splata Cr has the same power as Cassandra but i think Splata Cr beats her for the reason of the SOA.

*She has outstanding power, dmg, and a Freaks bonus. She really has nothing else going for her. Plus Baldovino and Cassandra need to swap prices.
