c Winston

Released on Friday 12/09/08

A voyeur through and through, Winston can’t help but spy on his neighbors, keep a close watch on his friends and draw up endless reports on the slightest occurrence he unearths. In order to put this nasty habit to some use, the General has equipped him with an ultra-powerful portable radar. So now Winston whiles away his days spying on the clan’s enemies.

First development of the 2 of this character’s different developments:

it is better than Molly
it's a 6/2 with an ability of -3 opp damage min 3..so yeah..a good cheap substitute if you can't maintain Jane Ramba at 2stars..
actually a decent card on a budget..makes Mono-Junta worth playing..

Well right on! It's about time La Junta got another damage reducer, and it's a fair one at that I must say. A 6/2 with -3 opp damage min 3, he will do just fine...just fine.

Well lets compare him to the other viable 2 star spots for La Junta we have Winston, Wardog Dean and Thormund

Wardog vs. Winston
Wardog> Winston in power
Wardog= Winston in damage
Wardog< Winston in ability

Final assessment against wardog
Wardog is used if you need more stability in your dec, He creates an 8/4 wall that can hold back higher cards However i belive Winston is better in this situation. Winston's DR speaks for itself it helps stop 2HKO's (which we all know are annoying) Plus when was the last time you took Winston seriously. I win games A LOT because of Fury+Bonus.

Winston vs Dean
Winston=Dean in power
Winston= Dean in damage
Winston= Dean in ability (that is having an ability)

Final comment
It boils down to Offense or Defense. Deans reducing ability is just as helpful as DR but in different ways. I view them as equal it just depends on your specific deck Needs.

Winston vs Thormund
Thormund> Winston in power
Thormund< Winston in damage
Thormund= Winston in ability
Final comment:
Thormund shines in Mono Junta. That being said a mono junta deck will have a extra 2 star. THORMUNDS ability is great but still needs teammates and his low damage (3 with bonus) leaves him to mainly be used as a wall. So in defensive terms would you rather knowingly loss and take the Sting off or risk all or nothing. Winston's for safer players. Thormund is not

If your running half deck use Winston or Dean.
Cant add anymore running out of room

Winston is one of the few damage reducers for La Junta. He is a pretty good card with 6 power, good for 2* and a disgraceful 2 damage, 4 with bonus. First of all he is very cheap and easily replaces Leo in Power, but Leo has higher damage. However he is 1 star cheaper which does matter if you use either in ELO. Its up to you to pick which of them as your first reducer.

- Has a very good power for 2* (generally)
- Reduces 3 damage which is better in higher level than Leo when Leo cant even reduce the damage to his cap (which is 2).
- Very Cheap
- 2*

- Low Damage even with La Junta bonus, No 2hko unless you waste 3 pillz for fury (which is not recommended) Diego HAS HIGHER :shock:
- Not as good in the beginning of the game as he easily goes to his cap (3) while Leo also goes to his (kill 1 extra dmg)
- Dean is better, you can afford him at lvl 10 (probably) side note: you should get him on your team also but get Dean first unless you really want him

Winston is definitely at least 300 clintz for sure. Hope you like my review! (6th methinks)

Have you hugged a Shetland Sheepdog today? (aka mini-collie)

wingston has to be one of the best card
because he is a nasy 6(power)
2 damage (4 with bounus)
Ability of Winston -3damage min 3
a damage reducer is always welcome in my deck!

In a mono-Junta ELO deck this card is on balance actually more valuable on a draw than Dean or Wardog. Since KO is harder to achieve in the new ELO, Junta has to be able to play damage control instead of just bulldozing ahead. Especially now that 2 hits are unachievable with any playable 2*s, they become a great place to store your DR throw away cards.

One might think Winston's min 3 is a little to high for competetive play, but when you consider that in a mono-deck, your weakest cards deal 3 damage, the min 3 is sufficient to cause a huge problem for your opponent.

Not 100% sure but i belive that he is based off the main character from the book 1984 Winston Smith. My main reason for this statment is the main point about the book was about the goverment spying on people and Winston likes to spy on others
