u Taigo

Released on Friday 30/01/09

Did you say starfish trainer? To begin with the Ulu Watus thought it was a joke but in the end they had to face facts: Taigo does indeed know the secret language of the starfish and what is more he knows how to transform these peaceful creatures into fearsome fighters. Now all they need to do is find a use for them…

First development of the 2 of this character’s different developments:

Taigo - 6/2 with -8 attack, min 3 (ability) and +2 power

- Potentially an 8/2, due to his bonus. Very high for a 2-star. With the -8 attack part, a very solid wall.
- Even when hit by SoB, he has potentially 14 attack for 0 pills. When hit by SoA, he's still a 8/2 for 2stars, making him quite flexiable
- In fact, the only Ulu Watu card with damage reduction except for Gaia and Gaia Noel (and -3 attack is a little on the low side).
- Starfish with black belts is quite a sight

- Biggest Beef with his card is that his damage is very low. Even if he wins, 2 damage doesn't scare much. However, it also knocks out an opponent's card.

Overall: 8/10 - He definetly replaces Jeff, and possbily replaces Bree as the 2nd 2-star. Of course, Gabrielle is still the best 2-star, in my opinion.
Still Taigo does wonders in the winning department, and being only 2-stars, gets you a lot of points in DTs. Go Go Taigo

3 Power 2 Damage

6 Power 2 Damage
-8 opp attack min 3

Taigo is a decent 2* filler for Ulu Watu, much better than Bree with or without his ability. His ability will make him a great blocker-bluff card, a lot like Gaia 2* but without the Hefty price tag.

Tiago is instantly an ELO starter that competes with Gabrielle (sheerly because of her damage reduction) He's a fantastic wall that can get you up to 40 attack with just 3 pillz! He can't be taken lightly because of that fact.

He's usable when you are new to the game, he's better when you play him in a full or half Ulu ELO deck. Do not underestimate starfish power!

hmmm which 2* to use... let me answer that,

1.I may be a little obvious but Gabrielle is the only decent reducer (not counting Wee Lee or Tan Man of course)

2.Taigo, he's got the power, reduction, but even though he lacks damage, hes 2*, what do you expect, 8 damage?

3.I'd have to say Reef, hes got the huge power and to back it up, it isn't going down unless against SoB of course

4. Warren, power opp and + 2 power, assured to over power? check

5.Bree and Ulawele, preference here, Bree is shaky, but for Ulawele, it may be just who hes based on for me * wink wink*

7.Orlando, shaky as hell but in the end he could be sort of helpful with that damage.

8.Jeff simple, use Reef, WAY less shakey, his powers protected and he starts with 7 right of the back instead of 2 and +5.

9.Sandy, no just NO, Sandy just will never make it.....EVER.
