u Azgroth

Released on Friday 10/04/09

At the tender age of 3,500, Azgroth is still just a young demon of the ice. To prove himself and finally earn his horns, he decides to leave the Mountains of the North and head down to the city. Alongside the Nightmare clan and his all time hero, Estalt, he’ll surely have the chance to prove his worth and at last become a real Demon.

Azgroth - 8/4 with -2 opp power, min 6 (ability) and SoB (bonus)

- Very solid 8 power, especially in a clan that doesn't have many 8-powered cards.
- The only 8-power Nightmare that isn't 5-stars, as of yet.
- Ongh-like ability widens the power gap, making him like a 10/4
- Handy SoB bonus to make sure that most attack manipulation isn't there
- Walls don't scare this guy. SoA ability doesn't scare this guy (unlike most Nightmares).
- Spooky art, especially without horns

- 4 damage isn't horrible at all, but his abiltiy doesn't add to lip change, like Kenny or Azel. Not a big flaw at all though.

Overall: 9/10 Azgroth is great, and may very well replace the o-so-scary Kenny! With his amazingly solid power that can only seem higher in a "weaker powered" clan, Azgroth is a nice addition

Azgroth, one of the three 8 power cards for Nightmare.....

lvl 1: 2/4 no ability
lvl 2: 3/4 no ability
lvl 3: 6/4 no ability
lvl 4: 8/4 -2 opp power, min 6.
That said, Azgroth can be used to take down some hard hitting 8 powers or 7 powers, where as most other power reducers with the same ability often do not have 8 power. With his bonus, he levels the playing field quite a bit. And being 4 star makes him a bit easier to fit into those elo decks......
overall, a 9/10. he is worth the price and is highly recommended for Nightmare decks.
now if this review was only as good as Slify's :sneer:

When you said Sandy, did you really mean Stanley? Because Stanley is a giant sand monster, it is easy to get confused.

Nightmare has now 2 usable 4-star power reductors. But for ELO, what should you use?
Azgroth OR Oshitsune?

Let's look, shall we?

- solid 8 power with good power reduction
- 4 damage is decent, although on the weak side
- although his ability is really great, he can function without it, especially against walls
- power reductors with lower minimums trouble him

- great damage output
- not-so-solid 4 power, relies heavily on ability
- SOA abilities, power reductors with lower minimums, walls and cards with high attack manipulation and SOB or Protection: bonus not only trouble him, but kill him.

Looking at these points, I rather pick Azgroth. Besides, Oshitsune gets banned every other week bec. noobs are afraid of his 7 damage and oh-so-scary ability. Even if he gets unbanned and I have room for another 4-star, I'd rather use Glorg over Oshitsune. But that's just my opinion.

Pls. rate green if you agree!
