Released on Friday 12/03/10

At the heart of the GHEIST HQ, there’s a lab no one likes to enter. It's where Astrid breeds her giant acid-spitting worms. These charming creatures are a fearsome weapon, capable of projecting a deadly jet of acid at a range of several meters. The only problem is they've got really bad breath!

Astrid - 6/3 with -3 opp life, min 3 (ability) and SoA (bonus)

- An ok power of 6.
- Potential to do virtually 6 damage, which is great for a 3*. Can 2HKO with bests like Rolph or Methane
- And because it's -life, Pussycats, Skeelz, and SoB-clan reducers are nothing!
- SoA always helps in the winning department.

- Her min of 3 is kinda annoying for later-game action.
- The -opp life is kinda wasted with the SoA again , since the scarier reductions (Uranus, Vermyn N) are already taken care of.
- When SoAed, her damage is pretty weak

Overall: 6/10. not the greatest by a long shot. She's fragile, but can hit hard. Not great in ELO, but still playable.

Sigmund's GHEIST Log

Subject #191

When I asked Vryer to do a log on one of GHEIST's subjects, he graciously accepted and asked who did he want me to review. However, when I told him, he graciously and respectfully refused, but I didn't hold it against him. Honestly, I can see why he would not want to review the person whom I requested. This GHEIST subject creeps me out and gives me more headaches than anything.

Who is this person you ask? Well, I'll give you all some clues. She spends much of her time in her lab, tending and caring for the worms she makes herself, she has a creepy smile, she smells 10 times worse than Igniss does, and she is the possibly the ugliest person we have here in GHEIST. Still haven't figured it out. I'll tell you. I'm talking about Astrid, the worm tenderer of GHEIST. Now I know you all probably think I'm being harsh and all, but if you've ever seen her up close, then you'd know what I mean. I literally have to turn my head away from her to avoid her horrible smell and her creepy smile.

There's not much I know about Astrid I'm afraid that would be of any relevance. She is very personal person, as she doesn't speak much about her past, and if she has, I was too creeped out by her to listen. I had Vryer look up some info on her, and regretted to inform me that he didn't find anything on her of interest on her, which was to be expected, considering that before she joined GHEIST, Astrid used to be just a normal girl. And I use the term 'normal' lightly mind you.

Instead of looking up info on Astrid directly, I decided to look up info on those worms of hers, and I managed to find a bit of information on both them and her, thankfully. According to the information, she was born a sickly child, who trouble eating solid foods. Her parents, who were poor enough as it is, had to spend what little money they had putting her up to get an operation. Not wishing to be a burden on her family, she decided to run away and live on the streets. She spent her time digging through garbage cans and dumpsters, trying to find what little she could eat, before she threw it back up.

Not accustomed to this life, her death was inevitable and she soon appeared on Death's doorstep. But before he had the chance to answer, the GHEIST managed to pull her back. When I first saw her on the streets, I believed her to be another urchin, and prepared to leave her, but Vryer could see something in her that I couldn't. Some sort of potential or power or something. Anyway, he asked me to bring her back to the base for an experiment. I allowed it, but told her she was his responsibility.

After successfully reviving her, Vryer performed an experiment on her, which shocked the heck out of me. I looked as coming out of her stomach, were real live... worms. And not just any old worms. They were more like slugs. After carefully sewing her back to life, and giving her something to eat, Astrid awoke and wondered where she was. I let Vryer do the explaining, while I just sat back and watched. Though she seemed reluctant to help us, she felt she had no choice as we did revive her. Pleased she was joining us, I gave her her own personal lab, for which she could use to study those worms of hers.

Days passed, and weeks followed with it, and no one had saw sign of Astrid. From what we could tell she was still in her lab with her worms, so Vryer and I went to investigate. When we entered the lab, we immeditately had to cover our noses, as the smell of the room, nearly made us collaspe right then and there. We looked around the room, as there were worms in every part of the room. And it seemed like they were getting bigger and stronger with each passing second. We looked as Astrid was at her experiment table, holding a handful of small baby worms, with a large tube-like thing on her back.

Vryer and I called out to her, and we looked at her face, as it changed from the shy, dying face from before into a psychotic, mad grin. We looked as she showed us the progress she made on her worms, as they were slowly, but surely growing bigger and stronger. Vryer and I knew not what had happened to her. It would seem as if the research on her worms drew her to the point of madness. And now you know why I fear her.

But still it is not all bad. She is a GHEIST member, and it would seem she knows what she is doing from time to time. But still. That's not to say I'm wary of her. She still creeps me the hell out. And I'm not afraid to say it.

This card is now the most overpriced card in Urban Rivals, passing Numar, Griezzo and Arno. With 6 power, 3 damage with -3 opp life min 3, Astrid isnt even playable in any game format in my opinion.
