u Yumi

Released on Friday 04/06/10

Many years ago, Yumi was the first woman to win Clint City’s grand martial arts tournament. Out of respect for this performance (and to stop her setting up a school in direct competition with the clan), Lost Hog recruited her to teach the new recruits of the Fang Pi Clang.

First development of the 2 of this character’s different developments:

Yumi - 6/2 with Confidence: +12 attack (Ability) and Damage +2 (bonus)

- Potential 4 damage (6 with fury) that allows 2HKOs with Kuei or furious Unagi.
- With confidence, Yumi is 18 attack off the bat, forcing most things to pill, and gives her a chance against Rescue or Montana.
- 4 damage is a solid chunk as well, so Yumi can play some pretty decent mind games.
- and Yumi is only a 2* too, so more room for ya.
- Anyone else think her art kinda looks like Fei?

- Without Confidence, Yumi is only a 6/4. While that is by no means terrible, it does hold her back a bit.
- Because her ability is confidence, Yumi has to be used on turn 2 or later, generally. Either or, a little more predictable.
- SoB kinda hurts a little, but 2 damage is kinda the norm for 2* anyways.

Overall: 8/10. Yumi is a great card. She doesn't have the sheer power like Chan does, but she pill forces. Attack manipulation has always been a lacking component for Fang Pi, and Yumi supplies a Hefty amount of attack manipulation. That said, her confidence does hold her back, preventing her from being too awesome. But Yumi is still a very decent 2* for Fang Pi, opening up a lot of strategy for the clan.

Yumi is a Japanese female name and (depending on how her name is written) means either "archery bow" or "beautiful friend" / "beautiful reason".

~Eloxia reviews~
Yumi 2* 6/2 ability: Confidence: +12 attack

♥-Great ability, 12 attack is nothing to sneeze at.
♥-6/4 with bonus, which is pretty nice for a 2 star.
♥- only 2 stars!! :D

♥-ability is hindered by confidence.
♥-SOA makes her a 6/4 which isn't that bad.
♥-SOB makes her 6/2 with +12 attack, which is pretty good still.

Overall I give her a 7.5/10. She's a great card, I don't understand why people don't use her more often.

~ Another good 2 star card for Fang Pi Clang
~ With a great confidence ability, it will keep your opponents guessing whether to let this card just go through and let it win the round, or try to out pill it
~ Facing attack manipulation wont be too much of a problem with Yumi if used right
~ Can have the unexpected 2HKO, even without confidence

~ Without confidence, it is a weak card that easily falters against cards with power/attack manipulation
~ With having confidence as the ability, it can make your game play predictable
~ Low power

2nd character in Fang Pi Clang with + attack, rigth after Sakura, but first of all:
- Yumi have same power and better manipulation
- she has one star less
Yumi will be played for sure. Confidence ain't realy nothing bad. Just look at Skeelz. Half of they ability are Revenge and Confidence but still they are realy playable. Also we are talking about Fang Pi Clang which usually doesn't need to win more then 2 rounds (sometimes even less then 2). SoA is always pain in a ... but lately GHEIST has more elo bans, Roots almost never goes in mono, even Rescue which usually have +12 attack rigth away get's more and more bans.
All together i think that Yumi is realy worth to get in your deck. For me she's way much better then Unagi, and maybe you will want to play them both to get more 4 and 5* in your deck?
