Well if any other clan was smart, they would just kidnap Nobrocybix and then the Junkz would no longer get any new characters.

Qubik review:
ok this guy is a beast... no a 10 ton lorry... no a comet ready to hit the life of the enemy. THIS GUY IS IMMENSE! and if you have the time to read this review i will show you how and why:

ok let's look at his power of 7, it's decent, nothing special... right? WRONG! well maybe a little right, but show me 1 card in 4 star bracket Qubik will have trouble beating with his power... there isn't many so i'm going to assume you won't have thought up one yet o.0. some 8 power cards still have to deal with Qubik's 8+ attack so pill for pill he wins for 8 pills, which is highly unrealistic because 5 damage is no picnic but you wouldn't go 8 pills for it. Also he could strike it Lucky against cards which rely on their ability to attack. he wont on average find it troublesome to beat most cards pill for pill (statistics i just made up smiley)
8.5/10 (the extra 0.5 because his SoA and +8 attack could give the edge against some clans or cards)

now his damage, ITS FREAKING HUGE! again not really that big, but it's hellaciously strong if you think you can't reduce it because of his ability, pussy cats do annoy with their -2, but 3 damage is okay and chances are they will just let you through, they don't want to waste their Muze or Noemi on this card, and cards like Bristone can reduce him but that's same for most of the attack clans (exceptions being cards with stop powers so they gain 3 damage like Beverly) Also because of his SoA you can lead off with him 4 pills and safely knowing you aren't going to get reduced by Uranus or something and most guys won't know what to do, fighting him pill for pill could be a bad mistake as they could lose out same number of pills + life so they will let you through in most cases. Nearly forget to mention Skeelz drs can reduce his damage too, but again like Bristone, attack clans have no defences against them.
8.75/10 (not quite 9 because even with soa there is some weaknesses, and his damage going through, still isn't as good as rowdy and as threatening, I don't view this as a - however, at 6 damage he would be OP and elo banned which would defeat the purpose of this card being replacement of rowdy)

ok now his Ability, what can you say, the application is endless you can cut through the swathe of weaker cards or take out a dr or can be used defensively to get rid of dangerous ability. SoA is like counter attacking ability, anything the opponent ability has, it can take it away.
10/10 (SoA is something you can't go wrong with)
8.99999/10 (just shy of uberness, he is nonetheless a staple for elo Junkz)
Competition:
Gibson (his damage is too weak, his ability to wall is one of the best but lacking damage he isn't scary enough, no one would bother pilling against him, which is a good aspect but not really a attack card which sucks for a 4 star, Qubik is better)

Rowdy (he's elo banned for a reason, but also not a fair comparison as the 2 cards do different things, this guy can just sit on his 20 attack and kill and force them to pill alot to beat him, while Qubik can cut through drs, still i would rather have rowdy more though)

Malmoth (you would really want -4 attack against a SoA?smiley really?smiley let's move on...)

Nobrodroid (4 pills yea but 4 damage and 6 power... just not good, if had 1 more damage would say yea, i could see a place for him in certain situations but 4 damage is too low to warrant usage over Gibsons walling ability which would force people to pill which is what this guy does)

so not so amazing as Rowdy, but Qubik is BEAST! smiley
PS: my review is heavily ELO influenced, if you don't like it tough because you have already read up to here smiley

Wild parties, sex, drugs: the Junkz live to have fun. Unfortunately, the government has recently put a 650BPM speed limit on music saying that anything over that would turn young people into raving loonies. The Junkz have declared war on this law and are fighting for their basic right to do what they please!

Robot sex!

His name is a parody from Cubix, a TV show involving a robot that could turn into various shapes

this card is pretty good but would not replace Gibson.Gibson is still the card that demonstrates solidness even though he only has 4 damage
i would choose an 8/4 sob over a 7/5 soa
and not only that,Gibson is a good counter against upper cards even zatman and Dorian are vulnerable to defeat if Gibson would be their opponent

He's good, but he doesn't deserve a ban. Rate green if you agree.

Qubik 7/5 4* with Stop opp ability as a ability

Pros: His ability SoA is one of the most useful in the game. Always has been, and probably always will be. Spiaghi dr? no problem. Spyke's massive pwr manip? no problem there either. need i go on?

For a 4* his stats are decent, but for a 4* with SoA? only two cards in the game have the stats of 7/5 SoA as a ability and here is one of them.

His bonus and 7 pwr work well to compliment each other and the 5 dmg backs them up. all in all a well made card.

Cons: ...... i cant think of any? others have said compitition, but i see none. Nobrodriod is wayyyyy to weak against SoA and any pwr manip. Kawan who? and malmoth's atk manip is too weak to even be considered a ability. and rowdy is perma banned.

And tons of people compare Qubik to Gibson. They really are two totally different cards. Gibson is there to block off the opps 5* while Qubik is a attacker who you can safely pill with out getting your damage reduced.

And hey, if you are having trouble choosing between the two why not just use both? Flanagan Dreen and Veenyle Cr are all useable 2* and they make a pretty beastly half deck together.

Overall: i give this card a 9/10 because a 10/10 deserves a perma ban. (also side note, he is the only Junkz card to be in the running for a elo ban by the players besides Gil. makes you wonder eh?)

Why do people keep saying that he is the 3rd Nobrocydix creation every one is missing Bunny

Sunday 30/01/2011, 07:55

Now, that Rowdy is perm-ban from Elo smiley, Qubik has become Gibson partner in crime in Elo (at least for me smiley ).

If you ban Tuck, ban this.

for some reason i can really see Quibik being a cr

When Rowdy is gone, Qubik is the way to go in ELO, ladies and gents.

Writing this in an ELO point of view. (First review as well)

Obviously he has competition with Gibson in that four spot. Depending on how you build your team, and depending entirely on how you play. Will decide on who you will choose.

First off, let's start with his pros.

Pros:
* 7 power, combined with +8 attack from his bonus. Forcing your opponent to pill if you decide to bluff.
* 5 damage, this is scary. In a deck with Fuzz and Qubik? GG.
* SOA=Shut up Tula and Nellie.
* Looks really cool.
* Currently, SOB and SOA is immensely popular. He doesn't really need his bonus or ability to compete, giving him a +2 in my book.
* Can be used in the beginning of the round, or later on. Really really versatile.

Cons:
* SOA decks. It sucks fighting against cards like Lin Xia, XU52, and Draheera.
* Versatility, the problem with this is that you don't know how your opponent will react to you playing Qubik. Especially if you first round him.
* Choice: Gibson? Or Qubik? It honestly depends on who you would pick. I would pick Gibson to eliminate having to deal with All Stars, Fang Pi, and etc. On the other hand, Qubik takes out abilities that have DR, support power/attack/damage, and poison abilities.
Solid or not for ELO?: Yes
Why yes?? Versatility. Being able to play in any round is very very good for any player. Also being able to remove abilities like Nellie, Cherry, Ditha, Hawkins, etc etc is great. But, he gets the burden of not being as solid as Gibson is. Qubik still has to deal with bonuses like attack manip, -2 life, +2 life, poison. High power, high damage (Especially for the available GOOD Junkz 4 stars) and being an SOA? Makes Qubik a solid pick for ELO.
