c Aniki

Released on Friday 31/12/10

When his big brother was killed by a Clint City cop on a mission in his country, Aniki swore he would work out until he could exact his revenge. Too impatient for Kung-Fu, he’s become an expert in Katana and very big guns. The Montana have promised to help him in his quest, in exchange for a few favors, which seem to lead straight to the Sentinel clan...

Aniki, the japanese word for older brother. This term is usually used to address higher ranking members of the yakuza, the japanese mafia.

Jokerremix_OC - "Don't the Montana have enough power manipulative/attack manipulative players already? Prince Jr, Mona, Fabio. Now they have a FOURTH in this category?! They need a new +power card, not another -power."

You must not play Montana much. Subtracting the opponent's power is ALWAYS better when you have Montana's bonus.

"Nothing can stop me from getting my revenge. Except ramen. Then it's time out for 15minutes."

Lv1: 2/1
Lv2: 4/3
Lv3: 5/4
Lv4: 6/6 --- Revenge: -2 opp power min 5

-Power reduction is always a plus in the Montana family
-Good damage of 6 opens up several 2HKO options

-Conditional ability
-Below-average power of 6 makes him sadly vulnerable to SOB
-High minimum of 5 means he's still susceptible to power-reduction himself

Aniki is a typical Montana character. He really cares only about the offense; everything else can go to pot for all he cares. Keeping in tradition with the Montana power-reduction cards, he reduces by 2 to a minimum of 5, just a little lower than his natural power; in the Montana clan, power reduction is ALWAYS a plus, because that means the other guy will have to struggle that much harder to get out of your already-considerable attack advantage. His high power of 6 one-ups most other cards in the Montana 4* family; in raw damage, perhaps only Rosa can square off against him. And 6 is the magic number; it opens up all kinds of 2HKO possibilities, and therefore opens up several kinds of mind-tricks.

That said, Aniki has a lot of glaring flaws that one just can't overlook. The Revenge condition slapped on him is bad enough; the fact that he only reduces to 5 is really hurting, though. It opens him up to a large host of cards that have low powers but powerful abilities; Trish jumps to mind, and Tula is another. Most All-Stars cards would probably rip Aniki apart. As you can see where I'm going with this, Aniki is very open to power-manipulation, because he himself has below-average power and his ability has a high minimum. Also, his relatively low power means he succumbs to the Montana's general weakness: SOB. Without his powerful bonus to back him up, Aniki loses a considerable edge in his fight, even with his ability activated.

Aniki is by no means a BAD card. He's a card that, under the right circumstances, can win the game for you. But then again, so are most other cards in UR. The fact that he's a whopping 4* card doesn't help his case much, but he can't help what he is. Personally, I'd use Edd over Aniki; he might give Donnie a run for his money though. He does have raw damage, after all. All in all, Aniki is a card that the Montana doesn't need, and while he MIGHT be a second pick for a 4* card, I'd rather spend the stars elsewhere if I were you.

Okay for some reason when I first saw this card I though it's ability was damage. Not sure why.
Onto my review and I'm leaning positive now
-He's common so you can enjoy a very low price
-6 damage opens 2HKOs with a lot of cards including Milovan and Veccio (Great in DTs)
-6 power is easily playable in Montana in low pill matches so he can be played without his ability(I'd try not to though)
--2 min. 5 takes in the average 7 power making them lower and creating a major uphill battle
-Being 4* and powerful he is easily useable in T2 as well as T1 and ELO
-I thought I'd point out Montana have some of the most powerful 1 pill bluffs getting his revenge very easily without to much sacrifice

-His ability is situational however it's revenge so it's not as predictable as confidence
-6 power isn't huge when hit by SoA or if you were forced to win the round before
-Kind weak against SoB if it's a card like Taljion or Sargh but it can overpower several cards
-I would say walls but he's alright at overpowering them
-Edd and Donnie are still good options
Overall:8/10 I'm not sure if I should go higher on that but I know that the 5* are very good in Montana are very good not leaving a ton of room for ELO since edd is staple. His T2 position is shaky but I think in mono he has a spot(unless you happen to have vickey cr). I'm just wondering how hard it will be to get those meatballs with those chopsticks...

Aniki is an amazing card. Aniki is similar to Mona. The ability of this card works amazing well with the Montana bonus. Any card with 8 power will be 2 pillz behind Aniki. Any 7 powered card or below is at least 3 pillz behind. Aniki takes a high powered card and rips it to shreds.

OMG stop making comments bout it's sucky power... if it was a 7 6 it would've been over powered (There are cards called Yayoi I know..) And with a 7 5 Lowish damage what's up with it!!! :P Buy Aniki Must have for all those starting out... Just get him straight away. (You could almost compare this card to Donnie...)

At first I thought that he was a girl. God Tony Semedo is good at making cards like him and Askai.

Prince Jr paid someone to kill his bro so he'd do his dirty work and kill some Sentinels to keep them stopping his business.

Aniki- a.k.a Revenge Master

6 Power is nice especially with power reduction
6 Damage opens up many nice 2HKO's with Don & Avola & others
Ability is one of the best in Montana they needed another power reducer since Mona's price is threw the roof
Bonus means he owns Double Reduction
Awesome Art

Cons:<img src=epressed:" />
Ability is situational wich makes him predictible
4* takes up room in elo
Since bonus is min 8 he must always 1 pill to suceessfully bluff

Rating:8.5/10: People may think I am rating this card too high. Howerver this card can be used very strategicaly it also makes your opponent think of how too beat him especially with double reduction. There power would be 1 lower than yours & also then they lose 12 attck. Played with Ambre this card is unstopable.

This is my first review rate green if you think this review was good:thumbsup:
