For Arnie there are two types of people: those with a loaded gun and those carrying a real man's weapon. Killing one person at a time might have been considered fun in the time of the Romans but firearms have moved on since then, so when Arnie comes across a building infested with roaches or enemies, he’d rather take the whole thing out. That way he can be sure the job’s done.

If Arnie loses the fight, at the start of the next round the player controlling Arnie will receive 2/3 of the Pillz placed on Arnie, rounded down to the nearest unit, with a minimum of 1.

Hey everyone!

This is my first review, so please bear with me;

Arnie, 4* 8/4, Ability: Defeat: Recover 2 Pillz out of 3 (The same as the Vortex bonus)


+ 8 power, which is the highest as of yet
+ Virtual 6 damage. That's half of the opponent's life!
+ If you lose, you get your pillz back! That makes him an exellent fork.
+ Arnold Schwarzenegger. "Get in the choppa"


- 4 stars. Slightly harder to fit into an ELO deck.
- Rare. Hard to find in a pack. Expect a heavy price tag.
- Weakness to SOA or SOB. SOA takes away the forking ability, and against SOB, 4 damage is hard to close a game with.

Overall: 9/10

Solid base power, decent damage, great ability, what more could you ask for? Of course, his 8 power lacks support, however 8 base power alone is stable enough to handle itself. Watch out for SOA/SOB and DR, and you should be fine with this card.

Ability: Defeat: Recover 2 out of 3 pillz
Bonus: +2 damage (La Junta bonus)

--8 Power. Who doesn't like 8 power?
--While his ability is active he makes an effective safety net play. You either get damage in or you get a partial pill refund on a lost round.
--A good general purpose card. Arnie can win when he has to, he can bluff, he can deal damage, he can also act as a "taunt" to draw out a specific card from your opponent.
--Outstanding synergy in a wide range of both mono and half decks.
--Can set up for many 2HKO possibilities from many different clans.
--A nice ability, but he doesn't NEED it to be successfully played (see 8 power).
--Can be used in any game mode for your specific need!

--4*'s can be tough to budget in an Elo or T1 deck
--SoA/SoB blah blah blah... Duh. You get the idea, he loses out on being spiffy. Who doesn't in these situations.
--I feel that attack manipulators should get special mention here because they can sap a lot of pillz from you if you win or lose. Took 7 pillz to beat that Mona? Corrina won but you used 6 pillz? Those are the situations that you'll hate to be in with this fellow.

Overall: 8.75/10

When Arnie was first released I was not impressed at all, "La Junta doesn't need pillz back. They use raw damage. They use power manipulators. Where did this guy come from, the Junkz?" Compared to the other 4* characters that La Junta boasts an 8/4 may not seem all that astounding, and in all honesty based on those stats alone I'd probably ignore him. However, that said, Arnie has an ability that I realize now has been something that La Junta could have used a while ago. You see, La Junta is a clan where losing has no benefit and forfeiting a round is usually a sign of weakness. The damage reducers are few and far between and have weird minimums, bluffs are fairly easy to spot and pillz are a very precious commodity.

Enter defeat: recover pillz. Arnie fills a spot in La Junta that was probably ignored until now: safety net. Most other clans have some sort of card that fills the role of safety with walling abilities, healing, strong damage reducers, or abilities that otherwise minimize a potential threat. This isn't to say La Junta is without walls or the ability to minimize a threat, but that is not typically how the clan is played. Arnie brings that dynamic to the table is an effective way by allowing a player to be safe for a change. Other cards are "safe" when you pill heavily knowing your opponent will likely follow common strategies or is easily read and by allowing you to tread a dangerous engagement with some comfort knowing that your risk is not as detrimental should you lose.

The biggest downfall to this card, or rather the largest "sink" you can fall into is against attack manipulators. Your pillz become less effective while your opponent's pillz become more effective. The equalizing potential of recovering pillz is suddenly reduced quite drastically or even completely removed. Power manipulators aren't as bad because you'll likely be brought down to the same level as the enemy (hence why 8 power is so useful) making pill for pill combat tilt in your favor.

Overall, you must realize that Arnie is an investment into your strategy as a whole. I wouldn't say build a deck around him but he can be used as a strong addition to a deck to allow other, riskier, strategies a chance to succeed. Or simply use him as a very solid, very stable addition to round out power, damage, and pill investments. Do not underestimate recovering pillz, especially with a La Junta character.

Great card to start the first round with, use 3 pills on him, you get two back so either your opponent wastes there's or you kill them. win win situation.

Well I actually like him so BLAH to u all:)
When I played Junta I was very into ONLY 3 STARS. That was a year ago before elo changed. Now my precious emeth is banned and two 6 damagers wont 2hko. So now there needs to be some adjusting in order to win in Junta again. This card is very helpful.

-8 power huge in junta because many people fail to SOA and dont have solid stats. (Isatis, Chiro, Winston etc)
-4 damage is EXACTLY what you want from junta... a year ago... but still good with his bonus giving him 6 damage!
-Recovery gives junta more pills and that is a blessing. They need more attack manip/pill manip. This card will help with the latter.
-Good against SOA (8 pwr 6 damage is hardly "weak")
-LUCKILY tho his ability opens a door for something most juntas cant do "safely". If your opponent has 8 life left use this guy with fury. either you get pills back or you ko them. YAYAYAYA he helps bring 2hko back to the Juntas in Elo.
-Best part about him is he FITS with junta
-Scenario 1-You win with Ray or somehow your opponent gets down to 6 life. Go all out with this card. Since it is an 8 power they will use a ton of pills while you get all of them back. Or you win/ko them
-Scenario 2-Use him with 0-3 pills. You either do 6 damage for a good price or you get pills back and they hopefully overpill

-He losses value on the last round (the vortexes biggest flaw)
-With elo changing he might only be used for survivor
-SOB hurts a little bit
-Spigahi hurts too

I would definitely use him for survivor. His pill manip/power/damage combo is too great to pass up. However for elo his value falls (but just a lil bit)
Good card I recommend getting him after his price stabilizes.

This is probebly the best 4* card in La Junta use a random card with 4+ base damage and try win the first round.
If you win you can take all your'e remaining pills on this guy and if you lose that round you get loads off pillz back.
now you probebly won the game.
I have done it loads of times ^__^
