So you still think this card isn't that good? Just one question, do you like Desmond? Oh! That's what I tought.

+Same attack bonus without min. 8 (this really come in handy sometimes),
+1 Less star
+Part of a clan where is always played with 8 cards and isn't famous because of the 3 stars cards. (Miss you Elvirasmiley)

-1 Less power, that's it.

This guy is godsend, don't bash cards just because you saw a "6" on that fist, specially a Rescue one. (Still miss you Elvirasmiley)

I disagree with the top comment, there is no way in heck Buckler is a 6/10. He's at least an 8.5, maybe even 9 depending on your personal opinion.

For one thing, Ash and Wesley look good on paper, but they're actually almost deadweight in actual ELO. Ash's hHeal is mediocre, healing only 1 HP and having the lowest maximum of all the Heal cards with 8 (if I recall correctly). Wesley's power reduction is like a stronger version of Mona's ability, but he is burdened by having the worst conditional ability in the game: Confidence. By simply having Wesley on your hand, any half-decent opponent can force you in a bad position and easily predict the cards you will use. He also has a mediocre 3 damage, which is next to useless in a 14 life, DR and Heal infested metagame.

Anita falls into the same boat as Wesley, with Courage activated your opponent can counter with the omnipresent DR or SoA. Slyde is not usually used as Steve can fill her shoes and save you a star. Pam is a joke most of the time, sure she has 24 attack without slapping any pills, but your opponent can exploit this and damage you easily. I don't even want to explain Joana, her ability is too unreliable compared to Buckler's solidity.

Buckler is, in my humble opinion, the second most useful 3* in Rescue. Buckler holds his own against some of the metagame's top threats such as Robb Cr, Spiaghi, Pussycats (admit it people, they're on the rise) and gives Rescue more versatility.

this card is beast, powerful base stats, and solved all rescue's weeknesses but two (SoB and Highpower), plus you got to love that high damage of 5 on a 3 star, OH and lol its protected xD.
Cant ask for more, except a good 4 star for ELO rescue, somthing like 7/5 protect bonus sounds about right.

PS: i know Rescue doesnt really need reinforcement( i know thats obvious-looks at Cleo -), but it would be awesome to have Lea back, or Elvira(elvira might be too much, but since she is the only SoA, and since their bonus is Support, and since Sents got Lehane back), i know we dont need Lea, with dr norton , sue , krash and steve around, but it would be nice to have her back just for SoB reasons, and 2 dmg doesnt hurt anyone.

Elvira is better for me because SoA is valuable. Clans like Montana or Sentinel would kill for a good SoA card, despite it appearing less useful against more cards on paper. Just knowing you can force a card like Dregn or Spyke to non-courageous rounds is a big advantage, although Buckler beating cards like Marina easily is also something good to have.

To each his own, I guess.

This guy is great in ELO mode. He's got a low star count. Since a number of lower-star cards are damage/power reducers, his protection ability is extremely useful.
