r Ranesh

Released on Friday 10/02/12

Singing the praises of Guru Cr - may Glibon Dashra Sakrh flood his intrinsic insides with perpendicular peace – is all well and good when you're a small and insignificant human being but by joining the Berzerk crew, Ranesh has realized he would rather preach violence to the rhythm of Lizzy’s songs – may Cortez bring him frequential plenitude and marginal longitude.

So did he get effected by the xantax gas or did this guy just decide to join Berzerk?

For the love of all that's holy, please, stop mentioning that SOA hinders a card. Obviously, SOA hinders a card. It is called Stop Opponent Ability. Hindering a card is what SOA does. That is not a flaw of this card, it is a strength of SOA cards.

The only time SOA should ever be mentioned in the comments for a card that does not have SOA is when that card has a Stop-ability, Backlash, or no ability at all.

And this card is a great addition to Berserk because Spyke and Elvis are frequently ELO banned. Ranesh is not meant to replace those two; he's meant to substitute when one is banned.

Berserk is set up quite nicely for Revenge cards. Look at Lola, and Rudy. They're two of the best Defeat-based cards we've seen. A Revenge card with 6 damage, -2 opp life, combined with the +3 life of Lola and the -2 opp life of Rudy, is a beautiful thing.

Berzerk Files
Name: Ranesh
Previous occupation: None (but he used to be in the Saks)
Room number: 9
Ranesh was affilated with the Sakrhom clan, praising they're so-called god. But he was excommunicated for a minor altercation with one of the Saks' influental members, enraged with the excummincation he decided to check into the Red One Motel for a few days, with money he stole from the Saks' funds from under there noses (or whatever the alien members use to smell stuff). He checked in on the morning before the gas leak. After the gas leak, some of the members of our clan thought he was immune to the Xantax gas, but he was infected, like everyone else, like me and Kostener his skin tone made it look like he was immuned. Afterwards he, Lizzy, and Elvis formed a band to raise funds for the clan. He plays his tradmark sitar.

Berzerk Review #20

+ Nice 6 dmg
+ Extremely useful Ability which can nullify all attack manipulation bonuses

- revenge based means you have to take a blow for it to activate
- his 6 power makes him rather weak without his ability

Ranesh has a nice combination of attack manipulation and dmg. which can create koes or bluffs. the revenge condition however can make it hard to actually plan your attack.

Usefulness: 80%
Price quality: 75%

He is the parody of an environmentalist and activist during the Vietnam war. These activists would sing praises to end the war effort, and fight for their cause without violence.
Unfortunately... the Americans found these protesters as a threat to the government and forced them into the army.
of course, since this game is at an international level, it is wrong to say that he is a parody of specifically American activists. maybe he is a hint at the corruption of all governments worldwide. who knows...

good card btw, if you have Beef with the power, thats what Ambre is for

Ranesh Ranesh Ranesh...what to do with you :confused::confused:

On a scale of one to OMGJACKIECR, this card fits right around the middle, I'd say he's almost the definition of a perfectly average card.
This guy brings to the table average power, coupled with a fairly average ability. In fact the only thing that puts him on the spectrum is his raw 6 damage and ability to knock the opponents health right down with one swift blow.

Unfortunately SOA is the little of his worry's (a 6/8 vs SOA is nothing to scoff at). Rather his vulnerability vs Attack and power manip provide for the biggest nail in his coffin. Even with his ability he isn't overly spectacular, reminding me of a card such as Ghoub (who isn't very good), thus this guy burns through ALOT of pillz in order to get that damage in.

Montana/Rescue/Sentinel/All Stars/pretty much every other manip clan laughs at this guy, hell every clan has at least 2 good counters to him.

Hmm, I'd say he still has his uses, however for the moment he is heavily overshadowed by Elvis and Spyke. I mean I'd prefer dropping him to kawamashi or adding a star and slapping Cortez in my deck.

Sorry Ranesh, but your violent loving tactics are weak on the spectrum of things
