Until one near-death experience warned him that not only would lose he his empire, but his beloved daughter, Saki, if he continued his evil ways. And that's where Roots comes in as his personal free ticket to redemption. If he can just do a few good deeds, keep any old habits from dying hard and make sure Aniki never finds out he was behind his brother's death, maybe this will all blow over.
