However, players who already own them can continue to use them as normal. Sales of the two characters on the Market will be blocked until the morning of Wednesday, September 14th.

When a collector is announced alot of people want to get it before its price rises right. Well a lot of people will sell off their valuable cards to buy the new collectors so they can earn a profit or whatever. When this happens cards like Dreng, Kolos, Cortez will all go down, as they are really high priced cards.
Also the cards that is expected to become a collector like Blaaster (as u mentioned) will go down, purely because it didnt become a cr. Which means u can sell him and happily wait 6 months before he may become a collector. But dont worry, usually the price returns to its original state, if not higher . So when a card is announced a collector it can be good times to buy
