Rule #1: Always pill X. Where X>0. There are a few exceptions if you dont care about losing it cuz you can win on the next round no matter what they pill. Also if it wouldnt matter anyway.
Reason: free dmg is free dmg and winning a round prevents more dmg than not winning except if you win a 1-3 dmg vs a Lola or something. it generally helps more to observe this rule.
I have my own theory on deck choice/selection with tier 2.
Got to 14 yesterday with a sakr/Morphun deck
I think that the key is a combination of:
damage reducers (2 max),
Attack reducers with low minimums (3 or 4)
And 1 or 2 high damage cards.
Try and have all base power of 7.
The theory is this - the attack reducers mean u can no pill and the opposition still need to pill a few. (this is handy with Morphun)
If the opposition has a DR i always start with a high damage card with 3 or 4 pills. (a sort of sacrifice). They will be stupid to not use the DR cards. If they do, they will no pill and u havent used much. if they choose to attack they will attack high, and leave them vunrable.
The key is to win the first round while still leaving yourself with 8-10 pills. 2nd round pill no more than 2.
Only use all your pills on the 3rd round if you can garentee the win.
Hope this will help you. Sorry if it hasnt
