I checked it just now (not with Praxie and Lola, but with Kazayan and Kusuri)
my opp: 6 life with Kusuri (defeat +2 life)
me: Kazayan (7/4 -3 opp life min 0)
result: my opp has 1 life left
how it works:
first, damage always goes through before anything else (so Kazayan 4 damage pass through first)
my opp health: 2 life
then defeat + life came into effect (as far as I remember + life is always goes first after that - life)
my opp health: 4 life
lastly - 3 opp life min 0 Kazayan
my opp health 1 life
so the order: pure damage => + life / + pillz => - life / - pillz, => and then I think heal, after that poison
