For the time being, the duel mode is available in Beta. We are planning to keep a close eye on what happens in terms of results (number of players, number of games, impact on the market, etc.) and will then make a decision about whether to keep it, amend it or simply get rid of it.

I don't see a problem flooding the market with common cards. 1) It is more forgiving for new players to buy good cards early. 2) Marker fluctuations from commons in LD missions (like Ashiko and Jeff) are not nearly as abusable. 3) Punishing people who try to manipulate the market and stockpile for common CR's evens the market, and makes it a safer place to do business.
So...a mode where your opponent cant leave if they are losing...you dont say, no wonder the other modes have been lacking.
Common cards as rewards:
3 per day out of as you can guess, common cards, that said the amount of common cards is quite high, high enough to make it difficult to get anything good.
Still it's a free card, and the enemy never quits.
Just checked the number of how many people are currently online and in the rooms playing. The duel mode has 2997 players. All the other game modes have 3891 players combined, with deathmatch Standard having only 4 people online. This mode in it's current state cannot be continued. It's killing all the other game modes. Please put in level limits, or make it so people can't complete their missions in this room.
Maki_mUR: It's true that people usually go to this mode for the common cards, but also quote from others, It's a guaranteed chance to complete mission that require KOs or poison effect. It was FRUSTRATING when I get one step closer to completing a ko mission only to have my opponent wuss out and quit or time out when I was so close to a ko..
