Everyone rating this card on ELO play? There are other game modes, you just might not realize it since T1 was removed.
Because of "Due Process". You see, the staff can't ban a new card from ELO (or penalize them in DT) until they have proof that the card destabilizes the mode. The staff keep track of what clans and cards are the most played (that's how the tempban electable cards are picked), so they'll be able to spot when a card really is overused, rather than just most complained about. I mean, if they banned a card based on the release reaction, Fixit would have been banned.
Even if they suspect (or intended) the card will be too powerful, they have to give the players time to actually use it and try to counter it.
In regards to other modes, maybe we'll start seeing Survivor scores that aren't Uppers/Sakrohm and people playing DM.
I was in my very early days of playing UR back then, so I didn't really experience the Fixit thing. So I decided to take a look at his comments... here are some excerpts I found amusing.
"How ironic... Fixit is broken."
"double ability = sad day for UR."
And one of my personal favourites...
"Yes I think the double ability is still ridiculous and something that should not be given to any other card in the game..."
Obviously this is reflective of how things were different back then. It's just interesting how 'gamebreaking' the double ability was considered at the time, and how abundant they are now.
Due to the amount of clans now present in UR, I don't think releasing 4 new cards every two weeks is sufficient now. I think it should be 5 new cards every two weeks now. Frozn and Huracan, heck even Bezerk and Vortex are lacking in cards compared to other clans. Yeah quantity doesn't equal quality, but something still needs to be done.
After seeing the past releases, I can honestly say that what this game needs is a "staggered" variety of them rather than the typical "four, four, four" approach. Have five cards released one week, and three cards released two weeks later. Then they can add multiple kinds of cards from the same clan (perhaps two 3-star Frozn) whilst still making the release balanced.
Or they could just take more time to release more cards for multiple clans (like x cards for each 6 clans selected)
I'd be fine if UR just had more card making event processes. Similar to miss clint city, noels, and that stuff they did with Uchtul and Mechakolos and stuff.
Of course that only goes if UR produces cards in high abundance
