For some reason after every win during DT I range from 12-20 pts even when I KO somebody and still have some pills left. so I was just wondering whats the best way to get pts in DT

If you use too many 5* cards you'll get low bp, because of the second table here: http://www.urban-rivals.com/game/rules.php?show=table

Firstly, remove any ELO banned cards.
Secondly, if you want more points use less stars. a 25star T1 deck, no matter the arrangement will average 18-20 points you may get more when you get a hand with your 2 stars in, but less when you get your 4 and 5 stars.
You need to research tiny cut decks. They normally have about 23 stars and consist of only 2 and 3 star cards.
