Their support attack bonus neutralizes and even betters Montana in a no pills battle, as far as I am aware they have similar or higher power and damage, along with sob clans like pirhans and Nightmare are these the best clans in the game?
Montana is actually better than Rescue. To get Rescue's +12 you have to play mono. Montana can play half and pick up another half to round out their issues. Past that, card for card the Montana are actually pretty good. Montana also has access to a lot of power manipulation cards and some seriously good damage and life reduction cards. Plus, they have Spiaghi. A two star so good he often shows up on his own.
Rescue on the other hand lacks any kind of attack or power manipulation past their abilities and lacks very many high damage cards, opting instead for life gain.
Rescue's one advantage on Montana is the no pill battle, but that isn't saying much. I've played as Rescue vs. Montana, and a good Montana player has a definite advantage in that match up.
In 0 pillz battles yes in regular battles no.
I think its comparing two completely different styles of clans, Montana are a highly offensive clan, as you say, Dr Traveler, they have a great line in power/attack manipulation, i can only think of one Rescue card with power manipulation and thats a confidence ability. With playing a mono Montana deck your almost assured of having four cards in your hand that can quite easily get their damage/ability through, and reasonably cheaply in pillz. Rescue are an acutely defensive/survival clan. Hence a large number of +life options and a low average power. So whereas with Montana you can breeze through a game with steady pillz usage, Rescue relies on those high damage, big ability cards getting through, and as such requires a surge of pillz on each card. and as Rescue are a solid mono clan, cards like Kerry, Lea and Elvira are staple, all of whom are a huge thorn in a Montana players side. Of course no clan is better than any other, its a matter of personal play style, so if you want the BATTLE WON! by ko, then roll Montana, or if you want to win by having 15 life to your opponents 10, then Rescue is the way

Thats what I mean because the ability sob really hurts Montana, a wee bit less if you have Hugo. And to have a split deck with Montana versus a mono deck of Rescue you are left with the tatic of having all montans soa cards to couter Rescue but then there is little space left for damage reducers or high damage cards or high power cards. Soa cards are obviously great against Skeelz but I think Skeelz is pritty damn strong other than that!
Mono Rescue is more solid than Montana, but Rescues only big weakness that they lack high power/power manipulation and atk manipulation besides bonus will be fully exploited when they fight each other.
Thats how they have nothing besides elvia to stop Oscar/mona, and lose most pillz to pillz fights while having no damage advantage or KO possibility.
Rescue often rely on bonus to force opponent to pill and hope to break through in a more decisive round thanks to pillz advantage, but that tactic is always countered by Montana.
No, it depends on the person behind the card. Strictly speaking though, in a mono-environment, Rescue's bonus is superior to Montana's (If you're facing another attack minus card with a lower min, like the Uppers or Sakrohm, Montana would actually have to overpill to get over 16 or 18 attack, whereas Rescue do not have that problem... But being restricted to mono does not kill Rescue, as they have excellent cards that really work with their bonus to kill the opponent.
Analyzing card-for-card (as in, 7/5 Courage SoB > 6/6 Courage SoB, 7/5 Revenge: -2 opp. life min.1 > 6/6 Stop: +3 power) Montana would be better; but that's not how you assess clans. It's how they work with each other and their bonus, which both clans are really great at. Cards like Prince Jr and Mona reduce power to magnify their already significant bonus.
Rescue cards are purposely designed to not need extra help from other clans; they have SoA, SoB, Stop: cards, Life +, and other kinds of cards. 6/6 Stop: +3 power is mediocre in any other clan other than Rescue, as the card would not be useful without the ability, which is the majority of the time. However, +12 attack and scary damage can help overlook that glaring 6 power; and that helps find its place in the Rescue deck, and with Glosh SoA clans are alot less scary.
Well, for elo I say Rescue is much more powerfull... its because of cards like Sledg, Lea, Glosh, Kerry... SoB or SoA bonus doesnt hurt them, and in elo we encounter a LOT of Roots/GHEIST/Nightmare/Piranas ... Rescue usually beats them with their variety of protected cards... Montana has only Edd I think...
