First we group all cards into tiers. Now don't bicker with me about who should be in which tier, this is literally just a quick example to show you what I mean:
GHEIST Tier 1 -
Rolph, Toro, Leviatonn
GHEIST Tier 2 -
Bristone, Methane, Wardom, Anibal, Z3r0 D34d, Arkn
GHEIST Tier 3 -
Now, we simply add two new conditions to Elo deck building rules:
Your Deck can contain no more than 2 tier one cards.
Your Deck can contain no more than 4 tier two cards.
- All types of cards get used. No Longer will we simply see the same old from every clan.
- No mass bans need to happen.
- Potential disagreement about which tier each card should sit it.
Discuss, feedback, and so on...
Another interesting rule might be inability to use certan cards in the same deck
"I'm not sure about this,,, What happens if you want Charlie, Yayoi, Rolph and Toro 2gether? (that combo isn't as effective as other combos)"
Well, can you use those cards in Elo AT ALL at the moment?
This is a fix so we can use these cards at least some of the time instead of never.
So yes, you won't be able to use that combination, but it's better being able to use the cards restrictively than not at all righr?
"Anibal should be in Tier 3."
If you're not going to add to the discussion, or simply troll my threads, please don't bother.
I think its a good base idea maybe make this a seperate room or give it a week trial though it would take a while because there would be argument. I believe with a little hard work this could develop. How much do u suggest the limit for each tier be? This could actually be something completely different and has a complete new stratagy 2 it like picking between Marina and striker and i believe this is a way 2 inspire variaty. It gets my approval as of now buit i'd like 2 here more ideas from people.
To be honest arent the stars of the cards the tier list you are talking about?
I mean ---> star count= tier list
If it had stars and tiers it would just be too confusing...
Yenkiee, you're missing the point entirely.
The fact is, Urban Rivals is imbalanced in that certain cards are just more powerful than others and are too obvious NOT to take.
The only way to fix this is to:
A - Ban powerful cards
B - Add powerful cards
Option A = less choice.
Option B = potential "power creep" (although I have a strong argument against this idea).
And yeh, while this may be a little convoluted, at least it would mean we'd still get to use the stronger cards and not be forced to play a watered down version of Elo.
