Hey everybody,

To give you more freedom and especially more reactivity on the forum, we decided to switch nearly all forum sections in autovalidation mode (except "Staff's announcements" for now). It will have several effects we are going to watch carefully, the first being flood increasing and off-topic subjects appearance.

Several moderation tools have been released so you will be able to report unsuitable posts or topics. The moderation team will handle those reports and act accordingly. On the right of each post / topic, you will find an option which will allow you to report it to moderators if necessary.

We insist on the fact you are the first players of this novelty and its durability. If rules are respected and discussions take place in a good atmosphere, we will maintain this system ; otherwise, we will go back to the old moderation system.

Anyway please note we will be intransigent about reported insulting / trolling posts. smiley

Have fun ! smiley

How much does "reporting a thread" give value to the scoring the thread as offensive, because some forums give instantly lower rating to threads that cause reports, even if their content is well aligned to the purpose of those forums. That rating system gives a bit too much power to those who use the button.

That is something we dont want - to have report option to be "dislike" button to destroy something that someone dislikes.

This sounds epic. The way the forum should have been before. smiley

There are no rating system for reported posts. Reported posts will be handled as regularly as the forum validation was, so even in case of big issue with a post, moderators will deal with it quickly. smiley

Anyway, in case of urgent post deletion needed, you can still directly contact a moderator. smiley

I think this is great because sometimes it takes 5 hours for a post to appear

You have to like wait 30 seconds between posts

Hope you enjoy the update. please be sensible with it so we can keep it.

Like Goralion says if you have any problems please pm myself or another mod.

@DeepEnd: its not automated. If you report a thread/post we see the thread/post and we can ether delete or change it if need be or ignore it if it shouldn't of been reported. If your posts get reported for no reason nothing will happen if it dosn't break the rules.

Wait doesn't this mean mods are literally put out of the job?
