Urban Rivals, in it's current state, has made some good choices and bad choices (I'd say the bad choices are more see-able and overshadow the good choices)
I will tell you this...
-Levels don't matter
-ELO is unbalanced
-Urban Rivals population has not changed in size, at least in a good way.
-Deathmatch is a completely useless mode now. (Used to be the room you would mission now)
Just to point out some of the bad things about UR. What would you change about UR to make it a game that could keep new and upcoming players while keeping older players happy?
I liked the RomanaUchtul events. I would like to see them again. These event were particularly friendly for the new players, if you didn't have the awesome deck you could compensate with giving the event more time.
Since i have joined UR i have never touched DM unless its compulsory for me to do for some LD mission. DM only rewards with XP and after level 50 XP to me is pointless. Maybe if they release new LDs We will see more DM.
UR seriously needs some marketing. They could make a nice promo youtube video and ask us to make it among the most viewed videos . Or some reviews from Gamespot / IGN would significantly increase the user base. Its sad that most people havent heard of UR.
I think that it will make more sense if UR collaborates with a more popular TCG, like MtG. Or at least, advertises in a site with lots of TCG players, like pojo.biz
I don't agree with the idea of removing Duel and relocating the card prizes to DM. There are other reasons why people play Duel you know, to get accustomed with their new decks, to complete clan missions, and most importantly, a chance to meet various decks instead of the generic Ambre + Bangers/Ulu Watu/La Junta deck that you'll see 99.9% of the time in DM.
I would like some sort of game mode called ' MULTI-PLAYER ' where you could fight in teams of two with your friend. In the actual room there would be a chat thing to communicate with your team-mate and think about strategies to beat your opp. Maybe about 3 minutes for each round per team of 2. You could also do 3 with a time limit of about 3 mins. Maybe... Each player would draw only 3 cards from their deck and have them in with your team mates 3 cards. Each player would control their own cards. You would be matched up against random opps and a team-mate or you could pick a friend and challenge another team. You wouldn't be paired up with people with the same cards in your deck and their deck.
There would be 1 hour or 30 minutes events every 2 hours or 1 hour depending on the length of the event. You would be paired with a random team-mate ech battle in the event too. Prizes would be 5% Jackpot 1st, 2.5% second, 2% 3rd, 1.5% 4th and 1% 5th. Then half a percent for 6th to 10th, quarter of a percent 15th to 25th, and one tenth of a percent for 26th until 100th. 3 credits for top 5th and for the top 10th a place into a CR lottery held daily. If you participate you get 25ctz and 1 credit.
