That "normal" (or at least it should be).
If you are inactive for a while (5-10 minutes, cant remember) in a Deathmatch, you'll be automatically put in the easiest room for your level. It's needed to remove the inactives players and make room for the new players so the Deathmatchs matchmaking stay as fluids as possible.
