I like this idea. Very creative!
Okay, first of all, could this announcement be any less informative? thank you Alhalish for actually posting the link
wow, 50 million damage in 6 days? i'm no expert in this game's statistics, but it seems quite unrealistic... i'm wondering if this is just a gross miscalculation on the part of UR, or an attempt to distract us from the current issues in tournaments... the reason 16* decks are dominant in DT is because UR themselves made it so, with the recent changes. the matchup system still isn't working right, and they have seemingly made no attempt to fix it other than adding some obscure factors to the calculations such as "deck win rate" and "global win rate", which from what i've experienced so far, has just made things even worse.
so yeah, if the objective were a little more realistic, i'd probably be more excited about this... also, does anyone know if the effects of poison and - life abilities count as damage? i think in regular missions they don't, so this would be nice to know!
It could easily be more than 12 per fight... seeing as the 12 you plan on my math is one side winning everytime most fights end up being more than 12 much more, mine tend to be 20+ damage
I just don't want the first revealed news to be "A new clan is coming to Clint City" since it's so painfully obvious that this is what the event is counting down to. Not, a new Ld like people are speculating. Like they're seriously going to go through all this for 1 card? I'm hoping the first clue is the clans bonus or a new ability that they are introducing...
I think its a new clan thats prehistoric and from the ice age
I just hope one of these things sais, " due to bad experiences, type extended and type standard will revert back to one and 2." of course new clan info is also fun
I personally think it's some sort of snow clan... but it would be pretty sweet if it was something new and interesting like "Ancient Cards" that are incredibly powerful and every clan would get one...but they would be impossibly tough to acquire.
Awww, man... we hafta play in the new DT modes to do this?
Ok... Some figures.
6 days - 1st to 6th
12 DTs per day
50M damage
So just under 695k per DT.
But it's not winning damage, it's all damage. And as someone pointed out that's usually more than 12, I'd say nearer 20 to 25 between winners damage and damage taken. And also remember that most DTs have about 2500 players.
So that's now
695000 / 2500 = 278ish points of damage per person per DT on average
Or another way
695000 / 1250 = 560ish points of damage per pairing ( 2 people in a match ) per DT on average
And that works out at only 10 points per minute of damage per match (so a match in under 3 mins would break even there at 25 ish damage) which since most people who intend to place top 150 and aren't playing PC work on PPM (points per minute) would rather take a loss quickly than win slowly will run no DR and always play for the win isn't actually that hard to do.
As folk said, yes serious players aren't gonna drop points just to boost damage score... But serious players are also the folk that will not be reducing damage but instead going "sure, hit me with a furious stanly since that means I can Fury Jackie next turn and kill you round 3" and next thing you know it's end of match with 20+ points of damage, and also happily managing maybe 20 matches plus in a single DT if they get other serious players since quicker matches even with losses = more PPM
Yeah I doubt we'll see the 50 and probably not the 40 either but I think the rest will be no problem
"I think its a new clan thats prehistoric and from the ice age"
Good idea but why would they release Craho then?
Clint City, day.
